The morning radio show I listen to just talked about OU and Texas. The host that’s a huge OU homer said he doesn’t fear the move and thinks this will lead to more national championships and they never lose 2 or more games a year and that won’t change. Blamed last season on Riley

Texas is probably scared shitless lol. They’re coming into a conference they don’t own, against teams that regularly beat their arse. It’s awesome.

They'll say they're used to being everyone's marquee game, but they're NOT used to more than half their opponents being able to humble them regularly. Nor used to not being able to throw their weight around conference-wide behind the scenes.

Their comeuppances will be delicious.

While the SEC has 5 of the top 13 schools all-time in wins, the Big 12 has 2... and both of those are joining the SEC

While the SEC has won 14 NC in football since 2000, the Big 12 has won 2

OU has a steep learning curve and will lose more than 2 SEC games that first year

I always start threads on message boards to say I'm not afraid of certain things. It's fun and shows I'm not afraid.

who on Earth fears Kentucky? Even in basketball now that NIL is in place Calipari's cheating won't give him an advantage. Granted, historically UK has a leg up on paying players but that advantage is over.

Vast majority of our matchups prior to that one seem to favor OU

None of those games are relevant to 2025 or whenever we play again though.

Do you host this radio show and listen to it inside your own head? You're a huge sooner homer

Texas is many things, but scared isn't one of them... "one riot, one Ranger."

Regularly beat their arse?
Not quite. Per our schedule, only Vanderbilt has a winning record against us and Texas has scoreboard on every team except Vanderbilt and Miss St.

Georgia 4-1
Florida 2-0-1
Kentucky 1-0
Mississippi State 2-2
Colorado State 1-0
UTSA 1-0
ULM 2-0

@ Michigan 1-0
@ Vanderbilt 3-8-1

@ A&M 76-37-5
@ Arkansas 53-23
Oklahoma (Dallas) 63-50-5

Many thanks to our SEC brethren for the slate of marquee, prime time, games. I think we got our top 5 choices (OU, A&M, Arky & Florida-Georgia).
