Would it be embarrassing for you if your team won this tournament?
I’m not judging you either way.
Just wondering whether or not you’d be OK with your team winning this tournament, or if you’d rather not play at all?

I don’t get that.
Help me out.
Are you saying you’d rather your team not perform well in NIT?

Why would anyone not be ok with their team winning a competition?

It’s gotta be infinitely worse to lose in the NIT than to win the NIT

Winning the NIT is nothing to be ashamed about.

If shite like that would embarrass you, then you care way too much about what other people think. Hell, I just like watching the teams I like do well. If that means NIT, then I hope they win it.

Why do I give a shite what other people think about it?

It's nothing to brag about, but nothing to be ashamed of either. I'm sure it brings a certain level of pride and accomplishment to those involved. Who cares if fans of other programs have something negative to say about it.

Basketball is fickle enough that the best team doesn't always win in a given game, especially in a single elimination tournament. Enjoy the time you have when your team is still playing, the off season comes quicker than anyone likes.

It is good for basketball programs that lack history.

We have a snowball chance in hell but if A&M somehow wins I’ll be proud of our guys and happy for them but I won’t be bragging about it.

I know we won't light up Albritton Tower. Other schools light their tower when they win the NIT...

Bruce has elevated his game from needing tech support to talking trash.

Well done old man.

I look at the NIT as a way to pad your W’s and making the season look better than it actually was. Nothing wrong with winning more basketball games, but it’s still a failure of a season win or lose.

No when deciding what teams to admit to tourny they look at their gpa and circle the teams that qualify

Why would it be embarrassing?

It’s better than what Florida, UGa, SCar, Moo State, Ole Miss, Vandy, and Mizzou have for this season.

It’s extra reps for some of the players that will be returning next year. Extra reps in a game against another decent team is a good thing I would think.

It’s not banner or cup worthy, but it’s better than nothing. I also think it’s more meaningful for a program like A&M than one like Kentucky, Arkansas, Florida, etc.

Nope. I'd want my team to play.

If you're going to go, then you might as well win it.
