Did you just talk shite about a recruiting class in 2026? Wow....... just wow.

History has established the pattern:

-1961 Bama wins a NC, Gumps hump in celebration - 18 and 19 years later we win more National Championships (78', 79').
-20 years after that we won the SEC Championship.
- We also won a NC in 1971. Surely Gumps all over the state humped in celebration after that NC, and 21 years later Bama wins another NC in 1992. After that game Gumps humped in celebration.
-Here we are 17 years later, playing for another NC.

Coincidence? I think not.

Gumps procreate Champions.

2026 National Championship, book it, print the T-shirts.

This might need it's own thread.

Saban went to the NFL with the singular goal of making at least one grown man cry.

Once he accomplished that, he returned to the Collegiate level, as was his intention from the beginning.

I wish. Especially if he wins the NC what's there left to do right?

Why do people keep saying this? Why would a franchise looking to rebound hire a guy who was a complete failure as a pro coach? He is a great college coach, and that is where he is staying.

I hope $aban stays right where he is. His players are growing weary of his constant screaming and cursing at them. Players can only hear that stuff so much before they start tuning it out. See LSU 2004. His shtick has a shelf life, and we're starting to see it reaching its expiration date as we speak.

he had the perfect owner situation in Miami and still hated it and now people think he's going to work for a guy like Jerry Jones? C'mon.

and why are people saying he was an epic fail? His record indicates otherwise. He did tuck tail and run before the bottom completely fell out, still it wasn't a complete disaster. He's also had success in the league as a DC. I think down the road he eventually gives it one more shot, but it sure as shite won't be working for a guy like Jerry Jones.

Saban to the Cowboys makes zero sense. If Jerry Jones ever gives up some power, it's going be to a proven NFL commodity, a coach that's had a long track record of success. Someone like a Bill Cowher or Tony Dungy, NOT a Nick Saban or Jim Harbaugh.

With the time coaches have to put in recruiting in today's game and playing to high schoolers' egos, I'd imagine the NFL job has even more appeal today.

I just can't imagine being a coach and having to tell a high schooler he's awesome and will see playing time in his first year so he can jump to the NFL after three years.
