Here’s a seven minute long video of Saban’s reply:

People forget how Saban was using the NIL angle very specifically.

It is because of our program

quote:

ur quarterback [Bryce Young] already has approached ungodly numbers. I’m not going to say what they are. He hasn’t even played yet. He hasn’t been a starter. If I told you what he’s … it’s almost 7-figures. And it’s like the guy hasn’t even played yet. That’s because of our program.

That last line says it all. He was advertising back in 2021 and now he is crying.

The real story here is Nate Oats held a microphone for 7 minutes and didn't say a word.

Look, dumbass, Paying players legitimately on a roster is a big difference from paying recruits. Even you should be able to grasp that.

Given that we actually have a pretty decent basketball roster after everything tells me we’ve joined the chat on NIL so to speak

It’s like when A&M got their fluky 74-72 win against LSU in 2018 then lost by 50 in 2019

3 plus yr melt. Nice. Took the greatest ever LSU team to recover from that “fluke”.

Does he actually think bama isn't buying recruits?
His mental health must be rapidly declining

I just listened to it and it is a 100% correct quote. Honestly blown away. The whole speech before provided a little bit more context about what he means by "buying players" but he said it.

It was a fluke and a big one

But hey we’ve won games on flukes ourselves, no need to apologize for it

He lost five games with enough talent to have a double digit season in 2015. The season revealed how poor of a coach he was even he accumulates an above average team.

I only clicked the clink because for a second I thought this meant Oats was holding the mic for Saban and I just had to see that, what a let down

Was the 20-7 win the following year flukey too?

he’s throwing a tantrum over it

Oh come on- it feels like he’s just speaking facts based on what he knows having recruited the same players. This is the Wild West now but there’s no comparison between what Alabama and A&M have done with NIL to this point. Anyway, if that was a tantrum, what do you call what Jimbo did a little while back when he was literally crying while threatening to tattle tale on those meanie teams?

Exactly. There are rules in NIL and A&M thinks they can break them. There is a big difference between recruits and signed players and the NCAA will soon be instructing the Aggies as to this difference

It wasn’t but that you only beat that LSU team by 13 is quite an indictment.

Show me where Texas A&M has done either.
