I would say born to crack up when Texas starts getting push around in the SEC. Going from having confident then to cracking up to pressure to be one of the tops in the SEC.

Gumps are living in the past, they have Tyler Buchner now.
This would be like Texas fans bringing up Vince Young and Colt McCoy in 2011.

wtf you are talking about heavy ball control offense?

Y'all are in for a hard lesson on how much worse it can get

Mack learned his lesson, we'll see if Saban learns his (probably not)

I wish Alabama would go back to a run heavy, ball control, defense first mindset. We won nearly all of our titles with that style.

This has been their recipe… if refs would call holding on Bama, then they would be forced to change their ways. Unfortunately the refs keep getting paid.

Did any part of this rant help Colt get back in the game?

Trying to run a run heavy ball control offense in the year 2023 is even dumber than when Mack tried to do it in 2011.
You do realize that Saban won titles that way in 2011, 2012, 2015 and 2017 (with the exception of the second half of the 2017 title game).

How does Nick Saban remind you of Mack Brown? Does Mack Brown have 7 College National Football Championships?
Posted on 7/8/23 at 6:02 pm to MackDaddyBrown
I doubt Saban ever developed a QB being a Defensive sorta guy.
Posted on 7/8/23 at 6:04 pm to MackDaddyBrown
didn't his last QB win the heisman?

Texas would’ve been better off keeping Mack considering the roller coaster they’ve been on since they fired him.
Mack was done after 2005 along with his staff of cronies. Muschamp and Applewhite kept it together until '10, but everyone else from Mack to the S&C guys were fat pigs waiting for slaughter.
The only reason Butterteeth held on as long as he did was his lawyer/buddy Joe Jamail and his mega donations to the program & pending execution of his will that included an enormous figure, which he leveraged to the hilt.
HS football programs are run better than Mack's last 7 years, the fat fricking count destroyed his legacy on the way out by showcasing what a spineless insecure bitch he truly was.

they don't need a QB because they're just gonna run the ball all game long
This may be very prophetic come September 9th.

Jamail gave Mack absolute security with his threats. That's never a good thing for a coach to have, unless your a workaholic legend like Saban. Jimbo's year 5 shows what feeling cozy can do to a coach.

Yea 6 national titles due to a ref bribing scheme. I can’t wait for the 30 for 30 documentary.
