They were pretty shite last year. Even LSU looked competitive against them.

Honestly it was. That team played too many close games to have ever believed they’d end up in Indianapolis. It was a young and inexperienced group.

I think a lot of us were not expecting to play for the national championship with how the A&M game, LSU game and Auburn games went. I thought our chances against UGA were slim to none in the SECCG and was already mentally preparing myself for the Sugar Bowl. That we won that game and decisively was nothing short of mindboggling to me.

Next year we should be significantly better.

Always a clear warning sign that a team needs work.

This has been his mo when he loses games he thinks he should not. Why not just say man UGA outplayed us and it’s done…. Always something with these coaches.

After the GOAT season in 2020 you have to expect a little rebuilding might be in order.

They definitely were not a dominant team. I expect them to process the SEC this year honestly. Maybe 2 games that are close at most. I know they usually drop that one game but maybe not this year. Really, I don't see anybody challenging them.

Saban is saying that Bama will kick butt this year so go ahead and send the Natty Trophy to T-Town.

Alabama was sleep walking in that game. They took that team as seriously as they would a high school team.

I have never seen an Alabama team that unmotivated.

I did love that LSU's biggest win of the season was still a loss.

Never thought of Saban as the excuse maker type person.

I’m glad he’s still melting about 33-18.

While I dont disagree, I think that LSU came into that game with nothing to lose and a few new wrinkles on Defense. I have a hard time believing they were not motivated to play that game. Records go out the window in this game

Someone will. Bama struggled last year and could rightly say it was a rebuilding year but some SEC teams could say they had a rebuilding year as well.

I watched the game and both teams were motivated. Bama couldn't take the game off and expect to win as LSU is still very talented.

This is easy. If you don't think last year was a rebuilding year with several weaknesses, just watch what happens this year.
