Who would you rather have coaching your team?

I will say Spurrier since you started this thread.

Nah...you would say Spurrier for different reasons altogether. It's been 13 years since the turn of the century and you still have nightmares about facing Florida when Spurrier was there.

I would say Spurrier since I've never heard his name with pay for play or a ton of terrible arrests.

SABAN
More process focused, a harder worker and he's a little younger

Spurrier mainly because he is so entertaining. Saban's three year old child temper tantrum schtick gets old fast. You can usually count on Spurrier for a good quote even today.

Saban and it's not even close. There is no way in hell Saban loses a national title game 62-24. Both relied on a rematch to win a national title though.

Spurrier. He destroyed teams even when he didn't have supperior talent.
Saban has more help with bama boosters buying better players.

That Nebraska team would've destroyed ANY of the Bama title teams.
That was the GOAT in CFB history, and its not close.

Spurrier in the 90's easily. I still think Spurrier is a better coach than Saban.

Saban is very good, but he has a lot of help from money and technology, Spurrrier did it with guts and smarts the old fashioned way.

Spurrier. He did more with less. Saban couldn't even beat ULM with the talent at bama. Saban wins on talent and Spurrier won on coaching.

Saban in 2000s:
106-41 (.721)
2 national
3 conference
Spurrier in 90s:
112-26 (.811)
1 National
6 Conference
I'd probably go with Spurrier. That's mainly because I like the way he did it. They're pretty much tied in actual success.

He does if he plays that Nebraska team.
