Both Coaches are great. It's like comparing two shiny new sports cars. Or, nitpicking over who of the following two has the best...

Does it really matter which???

Spurrier took advantage of a very average 1990s SEC and brought something no one else had, the spread fun n' gun attack. Easy work for the Ol' Ball Coach. No doubt..

Saban wins on talent and Spurrier won on coaching.

As if Spurrier had trouble recruiting and had no talent? Also, who cares how you do the winning, whether it is gameday coaching or recruiting great players? If it wins, it wins. Again, no Saban coached team would ever get demolished in a national title game with everything on the line. He works too hard and is too prepared to allow that. Spurrier is known to care a little too much about his golf game at times.

This is really what it comes down to. Spurrier started beating the frick out of people with lesser teams when he got to UF.

And Saban beat the shite out of teams with lesser talent when he got to LSU and when he got to Alabama. He inherited a total mess at both places and won very big, very quickly.

Saban V. Spurrier is almost like comparing the right with the left....a pair is soooo much better.

Saban and it's not even close. There is no way in hell Saban loses a national title game 62-24. Both relied on a rematch to win a national title though

I'm pretty sure SS never got destroyed on national tv by a Mormon mid major college either.

That said, Saban.

That Nebraska team would've destroyed ANY of the Bama title teams.

Exactly. Bama couldn't stop Georgia Southern's option attack, let alone an ALLTIME great Nebraska team that AVERAGED 350 yard/ game.

Want to discuss 2008 ULM and MSU games? Since 2008, it is hard to say Saban's teams have stepped on the field with lesser talent.

Dumbass, that was 2007.....Saban's first year he inherited from Shula's no talent shite show. 2008 Saban went undefeated in the regular season with a bunch of Shula no names and true freshmen he had recruited.

Nick Saban is 10x the coach spurrier will ever be. And he is less of a sore loser too

I hope this is a joke or a troll. Saban loses games every single year ( except once)to teams that aren't as talented as his. Saban is a great coach but to say he is 10X better than Spurrier is just dumb.

Saban has 4 in an era where the SEC is a much stronger conference.

The only thing that should matter is conference titles. You can't get voted into the SECCG. A coach has no control over a national title appearance.

I don't give a frick you GD retard. '07, '08, whatever. He got embarrassed with vastly better talent. Then in 2008, he let a bunch of Mormons shove it up his arse.

He started winning big when the talent was better than everyone else. The jackass never put together two good seasons at LSU or MSU either, even though he had talent at LSU.

Just because bama boosters buy more players than anyone in the nation does not mean Saban could outcoach Spurrier with equal talent. In fact Spurrier would wipe his arse with him more often than not in that case.

Spurrier mainly because he is so entertaining. Saban's three year old child temper tantrum schtick gets old fast. You can usually count on Spurrier for a good quote even today.
and only one natty to this day. sucks to be LSU compared to THE program in the nation.

Wrong, with the strength and size of today's athletes, the 2011 Tide would have made it more of a game than UF ever did. It would come down to the 4th Quarter.

bullshite. 2011 Bama couldn't stop GSU's option. This isn't some 1970's team. It's 1995. I don't think you know how great that team was.

Do I really have to point out the difference between appearing in a national championship game, and winning it?

You can attribute the appearance to all sorts of things. You can't explain away the victories.

To suggest that Nebraska would have beaten the last two BAMA (2011 & 2012) teams is ridiculous. There is no one dimensional team that would have beaten either one of those teams. We were bigger, faster and stronger than that Cornhusker team.

Good god. Yeah the GREATEST CFB TEAM OF ALL TIME couldn't beat a team that lost to fricking tex A&M.
