I don’t flip them. I collect and drink.
Meh, those might get you a huffy in twenty years.

All jokes aside, good haul.

What year was it bottled and how much you want for it?
You won’t be finished for one if you tee off at 9:30. I’d plan for pulling out of the parking lot at two, if not close to it. Still should be mostly fine on the bridge but expect some traffic for sure.

Island is definitely better conditions and overall course than copper. A lot of people like Copper but I can’t seem to understand it. Course is getting there but the conditions are still crap, especially for the price. Tee boxes are horrendous, it drains poorly so the fairways get torn up, the edges of the course are mostly hard pan, etc. If you’re in Zachary it’s beaver or bust.
If Peche gets a star over revolution then I’m gonna be shocked. Hell, seaworthy is usually better than Peche. Probably not as consistent but the menu is better IMO.
D John’s outside of st Francisville was my favorite as a kid. Unlimited seafood and all the good stuff too.

Wanted to share what we cracked open yesterday.

How is that rio? Got one teed up to bring into the rotation.

I’ve had em all toof. Prohibition pours, BTAC, dusty stitz, they’re all phenomenal and you’re right that the old juice is night and day.

Just a little troll above boys, enjoy what you enjoy and I’ll pop in from time to time to piss yall off with a one of a kind. Happy sipping

I’ll only post the open bottles from here.
Of course, and I drink plenty of really good bottles. I just accumulate lots of rare ones so that I can trade, resell, let them appreciate, etc while still being able to always have something nice to crack open when I want. Some bottles are off limits for the most part but most aren’t.
If posting a couple dusties counts as showing off, then maybe the problem isn’t my bottles, it’s your shelf.

I figured a whiskey thread might be geared towards collecting as well as drinking but I’ll be sure to stick to dailies if that makes you feel more comfortable.

Maybe the BTACs if I wind up with duplicates but the ones on the left are from 1960, 83, and 94. Those go in the cabinet and sit unless it’s for a very special occasion. I don’t really view them as true alternative investments but it’s a little side hobby like someone would think of day trading for fun. I get that whiskey is meant to be drank, and I drink plenty of it, but the collecting or hunting for old/rare bottles is part of the fun. If I can pass down a valuable collection to my kids then that’s even better.

Kinda new to this thread but I’m a long time collector. Just got my most recent haul in yesterday. Obviously I won’t be popping any of these, I think peerless is my next up for a drinker. Love scrolling back through this thread though, some of you boys are popping some good ones.
How was that peerless? I have a bottle that is in my next five or so to open.
Yea in bulk total wine, or try wooden cork online if you are buying regular stuff. Their prices are higher on rare spirits but cheaper on run of the mill ones.
