I have about 14 years before I have to worry about this but my kids will not be starting off at Auburn or Alabama without scholarship money. They can and will take the basic classes at juco and transfer to a four year college. Starting off at juco can at least help them acclimate to the real world without having to head dive into freshman orientation with irresponsibility and the accrual of massive student loan debt. Lessons learned as it took me a whole semester to settle down.
Word of advice, have them do dual-enrollment while in high school and take a few college classes on-line in the summer of their Jr & Sr yrs.
The credits transfer to AU/UA with no problem and an on-line Wallace CC class at $150/credit hour is better than $475/credit hour at AU/UA.

The real housewives of Atlanta didn’t sue the real househusbands of Hollywood.
It's probably the same producers.
It's like whoever owns "The Honeymooners" suing "The King of Queens".....King of Queens is basically a rip-off of the entire premise of The Honeymooners.

I think the producers of Coming to America ought to sue LeBron for copyright infringement of barber shop conversations.
Tell Lebron to go have a Sprite and a smile and shut the frick up!

okay, so youR example means families will only pay $93-118K to send the kids to those school instead of AU/UA.

I wonder if UA has to charge athletes for Bama Cuts' services or else offer free hair cuts for all students in orde comply with NCAA rules against special benefits.
I may be wrong but I think it just has to be offered to all athletes, not just football in order for no violation. but honestly is it any different than a medical trainer or doctor for a player

lol Alabama has some relentless amd sharp copyright lawyers. I highly doubt anyone that would be watching Lebrondas show would stop to watch Sabans barbershop show instead

What happened to you IP? You used to be calm and intuitive, you single handedly keep Bama related threads alive for days. It's sad when fellow Auburn posters debunk your posts. Every school sends out letters or threaten lawsuits to keep their brand property rights. It's no different if your business took steps to keep another individual or business from using your branding property without your consent. Let's say that individual or business does something shady or gets in legal trouble with your brand splash across that particular situation. I think you would think differently.

I understand that every school does it, but few follow through with lawsuits, especially against the small business person. I did not feel sorry for Daniel Moore, but his prints did a lot for the Bama marketing plan as any individual. I do feel bad for the Bakery Owner who gets pulled into court. She is a State and Local taxpayer, whose nickle and dime taxes allow the University to build roads and Dorms . It allows the University to have Police and Fire Protection. The greed of these Schools has caused me to question what the true mission is for the citizens of Alabama.

You are one of those types who is ok with whatever they do as long as the football team is good.

Lebron has turned into a giant bitch the last few years. It's a shame because I used to love him

No, but protecting the copyright/trademark/etc. of the brand will never be something I complain about.

Doesn't really matter. If either university finds that you are trying to make money off their logo, they are going to try to get you to stop.
I am sure they will try, but both schools do not want it to go to court again. The people of Alabama are getting fed up with both schools handling of their non-athletic operations. Now that Bama has over 50% out of state students and AU with almost 40%, while their children are forced to go to JC due to cost, people are getting tired of the greed coming out of those ivy covered towers.
agree ...
UA has trademarked the word "Alabama" ... not sure how they can do that, but apparently its use indicates Alabama football, somehow ...
