Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James is having issues with the University of Alabama after the football program released a trailer on its official Twitter account showing a roundtable discussion in a barbershop that is similar to his online web series.

The trailer for the Alabama series is called "Shop Talk," and features head football coach Nick Saban, former Tide wideout Julio Jones and other football players discussing various topics.

James has a similar show on his multipmedia platform called "Uninterrupted." That series called "The Shop" showing James and others talking at a barbershop.

According to a letter obtained by ESPN, a letter was sent to Alabama on behalf of James discussing their concerning over possible copyright infringement.

"Your continued exploitation of 'Shop Talk' infringes 'Uninterrupted's' copyright, trademark rights and other valuable intellectual property rights in 'The Shop' and significantly damages 'Uninterrupted's' commercial prospects for 'The Shop,'" the letter says.

No legal has been taken, as the letter states that they would like to have talks with Alabama before any invite a conversation with Alabama before "rushing into legal proceedings."

LeBron, how does it feel to still be a pussy arse bitch?

I bet if this was Ohio State doing this he wouldn't say shite.

LOL at trying to copyright sitting around talking at the barber shop.

Hey, you can't make a video about grabbing beers and talking about your life. That's my thing!

Do you have proof that the school he cheers for and supplies shoes to throughout the years would be stopped from doing something that benefited their recruiting?

I understand LeBron's brand but he's had no problem supplying tOSU with gifts over the years.

At least he didn't write racist things on the front gate of his home and blame it on Alabama.

Lebron, the first black man to have real talk in a barbershop

I salute this innovator of our times

No. do you have proof that they wouldn't be stopped?

If the show truly violates copyright laws, it doesn't matter what school it was. Lebron's people would do something about it.

This wasn't a cease and desist letter. It was just informing Bama of possible IP infringement for a sports talk show set in a barbershop. Big difference there. Lebron's spokesperson even said they aren't trying to get into a legal situation.

I'm pretty sure staking a claim like this is a requirement to maintain integrity of their future IP claims (say if Kevin Durant set up competing show)

This gets exposure to Lebron's show and Bama's version doesn't hurt htem. Wouldn't be shocked if Bama acknowledging the IP claim = end of issue

Wouldn't be shocked if Lebron allows Bama to continue if they just acknowledge it as Lebron's IP. This letter gets huge exposure for both shows + hard to see why he'd have an issue with a CFB version

Yes, the manuvering is normal. The general idea, premise and application of most of modern day IP law is the joke.
