In no way whatsoever, in any world, under any circumstance did Bama ever entertain Lain being head coach at Alabama.
Once it was known what he was and how he was, Lain's dream of being head coach at Alabama was never even close to being materialized.

Hmmm. Saban has always adamantly denied this and has stated that it was all just rumors. Maybe Sexton used a ploy to get Saban a raise at Alabama but, even this is not confirmed by any sound information other than chatter.

First of all, Saban never asked anyone about coming back; that is just another iteration of the LSU Crawdad Daydreaming Phenomenon.

I realize Alabama fans generally aren't working with a full deck but when you post the same menstruations day after day, you're going to get the same responses.

sounds like a forced “clarification” the higher ups at Bama begged Saban to make. I’ve heard from close friends of Saban in BR that he never felt completely at home in Tuscaloosa like he did in BR due to T-town being very Bible Belt and Saban being such a devout Catholic. He was at home in BR, so I understand the regret, that he lives with, of leaving.

Ohh, close friends of Saban sauces; that's better than just about any other sauce. You are really connected.
I bet you and all these close confidants of Saban's discussed all this Protestant vs. Catholic religious divide than Saban could never overcome while downing a couple of cases of Milwaukee's Best out beside the swamp shack roasting some ditchbugs over the rubber tire fire.

On the other hand, not in lunatic head space, Saban has denied this situation occurred in any way whatsoever. Even after leaving Alabama he has still denied it.
So, instead of coonass conspiracy land crazy idiot thinking about how things REALLY are, I'll just trust Saban himself.
