I'm not denying Hurts is a great player (he won the SECPOY for a reason), but consider the talent that he has around him. Great rb core, great wide receivers, an amazing line, etc.

I would choose Fitz. He had awful receivers last year and still put up really good numbers. He'll be very good this year.

Shea Patterson is easily who I'd pick.

Patterson
Hate to see him waste an entire career at PC Probation Massa Wife just because his brother is on the Recruiting Staff there.

Sean was on the Staff at LSU and he (Shea) was BR bound, but "Dumbo Ding Dong" (Miles) just lets Sean walk away to a better position in Oxford. (And little brother just tags along)

Shea at Massa Wife is the same thing as Manziel at aTm: Great QB in a not so great football program. (Soon to brought down to its knees)

Fitzgerald.

You can't be totally one dimensional one way or the other, but you can be much better at one aspect (running or passing) and still make a spread offense work if the coordinator can adjust and handle what the qb does best (and if they have the other things like wr's, etc).

But I consider rushing yards to be more valuable than passing yards. Not to mention evading sacks, and getting positive yardage on busted plays.

I'd take 200 yards rushing a game, 150 passing in a heartbeat over 400 passing, 100 rushing (team, not individual stats). Ideally I guess you would like to see 200 rushing, 200 passing. But that is the point I'd like to make.

it wasn't a better position. It just had enormously more cash and incentives in oxen crossing town

I'll take Fitz every time. Shea is no bigger than me. No way he makes it through a season in Mullens offense.

It's funny that their only accomplishments have been beating aTm

Fitz beat a hilariously overrated #4 Aggie team, and Shea beat a Sumlin team in November.

Nick Fitzgerald is the best dual threat quarterback in the SEC. I'll take him.

Would you rather have Matt Stafford or Matt Jones? If you want to be a great passing offense you choose one. If you want to be a running/ball control offense you choose the other.

So basically they have the exact same accomplishments last season?

Anytime someone questions Hurts, the stans love to bring up those passing stats. They fail or refuse to realize how many of those yards came from passes at or behind the line of scrimmage. Eason is the correct answer.

Tough call. Really two completely different players.

Is fitz a junior or senior?

Wouldn't trade Allen for anyone else in the SEC but if I was forced to pick between those two probably Patterson. Just because he would most likely fit in our scheme better.

But why don't you think Hurts is at least warranted a mention in your OP? I don't know why many on here think it's impossible Hurts makes any improvement next season.

He's a horn fan on his 4th or 5th account. This entire thread is a troll on Hurts

Much of that had to do with drops. I know all teams have them but our WR group last year was really bad. He was more of a 60% passer last year and i'm expecting him to be a 63-65% this year. He'll be starting for someone in the NFL. Patterson probably has a lot of upside, but he will need to transfer to reach his full potential. I expect him to go to Memphis university after this season and Mike Norvell turn him into a 1st or 2nd round draft pick

But it's not just him. A large number of posters on here act like Hurts is one of the worst QBs they've seen. They think there's little to no chance a player can improve from his freshman year.

I also want to know why many of on here think Bama's OL is good every year. They were far from spectacular each of the last couple of years yet people on here act like the entire OL is filled with All-SEC and All-American players which is BS.
