Yeah the thing is . That shite happens every game but the leg usually doesn’t stay planted. Think about it . If his leg didn’t stay planted he would have been “upended” how many times have you heard a play by play guy say the phrase upended

The reason the leg stayed planted was because the other defender was keeping it planted. Which was the point I was trying to make earlier is how most NFL players know not to dive at the knees in that situation

He didn't dive though. He was falling.

Hate this fir Chubb. One of my favorite players because of the way he always brings it when he plays.

Good wishes lil bruiser, and here’s to a full and successful recovery.

I don’t suppose that we can blame the turf for this one.

You say all this as if they are walking thru the play, nick chubb is super easy to tackle, neither are moving at a speed 90% of human beings can't even fathom while being blocked by gargantuan human beings and also not allowed to hit the upper half of the body or they will take a huge fine and temporarily lose their ability to do their jobs. If Minka Fitzpatrick has the ability to play the game the way you think he should be able to, he's either the best defensive player in the world that is so athletically superior to everyone the steelers likely don't give up another point all year or chubb belongs on a jv highschool team.

Nfl teams have to do better for rb’s
The shelf life is short and it’s a position that takes a lot of contact

Damn that replay legit ruined my night. I woke up in the middle of the night, saw replay of injury posted and haven’t been able to go back to sleep.

Feel terrible for the guy and I have no allegiance to any team he’s been with whatsoever. Wish the best for his recovery. He’s always come off as a great guy.

Some of yall act like they got drafted to the nfl like they were drafted to a war. There are many other positions in the NFL that take a beating. Hell running backs are even allowed to target people. If a linebacker were to go and try to hit a running back in the chest, the running back can lower his head and if it ends up with a head on collision, the line backer is going to get fined and ejected from the game. Completely out of his hands. Again that player chose to be a running back, they just have lost their value in the nfl since they made that decision. No NFL owner should have to pay out the arse for a position that they feel they can get someone cheaper and be just as effective. I assure you those guys didnt make some big sacrifice for the team, it was their best position and they wanted to be a feature part of the offense. Unfortunate but it is what it is.

That’s why you contract with Llloyd’s of London immediately.

Or maybe kids playing football should take note of what we know about RBs and try a different position if they don’t like it

Maybe I'm getting soft in middle age, but I'm losing my stomach seeing guys get maimed like this almost weekly.

Add to it the guys nearly getting paralyzed in the Grambling and Miami games and its just too much lately.

He will heal up but he should retire while he's still young.
