That's all well and good. I'm not saying I think they will give up 20 or more a game. I'm saying that the odds of them not giving up 20 or more in any game are worse than the odds of them giving up 20 or more per game. Understand now or still over your head?

He's a homer to a ridiculous extent, and probably expects a reincarnation of our 1939 defense that didn't allow a point in the regular season. I agree that we'll give up 20+ points multiple times next year, because these days, even the best defenses do that.

I would point out that every team in the SEC other than Bama and Mizzou scored more than 20 points on yall last season. Saying that you'd be shocked if one person does is a stretch.

I'll be shocked if it happens in 2016 with this defense and this coach if it doesn't include a garbage touchdown when we're up 3 TDs or more. Happy?

We were consistently giving up scores in the 20s throughout SEC play last year, which usually (but not always) was good enough for us to win. It is weird to think that UK, Vandy, and SCe all scored more points against us than Bama did

That's a little better. Still think it is more likely than not you get in at least one legit "shootout" and I don't want you to be too shocked even though your defense should be solid.

its true, but to Serraneaux's point, yall did drop 50+ on UK and Vandy, don't think they get to 20+ without that fact.

I don't know if we'll get in a "shootout" per se, as I think our D is good enough once again to stop anyone from getting into the mid 30s or above against us. But we'll probably concede 24-31 against a couple teams.

Not disagreeing with you, but we got exactly what we needed in this DB class. Perfect for us even though some teams had higher rated DB classes, it's all subjective.

Okay so, #2 or #3 DB recruiting class. They'll all likely be backups this season anyways unless they beat out Cam Sutton and Justin Martin.

Our defense was solid most of the time, but it seems like there would just be random moments here and there where they would forget how to play football. Like the 3rd quarter against you guys. Pretty much shut SC down outside that, but gave up 3 TD's in a row there. Gave up 2 back to back TD's against Vandy in the first half as well. (The other 2 were in garbage time)

Top 100 players as backups? My gosh, what other SEC schools could have such depth.
