Hohum Vols...you play in the east with inflated east stats. Prepare to die a cruel death in the Ozarks.

UT will be about 4-4 going into November then rattle off some wins against some horrible teams and we'll have to hear about how 2017 is finally UT's year all offseason.

IF someone scores more than 20 points on us in a game the whole season, I'll be shocked.
20 points would have been enough for Bama to beat UT in 11 of the past 12 meetings. The 12th would have gone to overtime.

Nope, we take a small step back after 2016

That's some solid smack right there folks.

IIRC we averaged exactly 20 ppg allowed last year. That will probably improve marginally this year. But there will still probably be 4 or 5 games this year where the opponent breaks 20. Like you said, that's to be expected in this era of college football. We have at least recently been good at not getting torched, as nobody exceeded 31 points against UT in all of last year, and the two teams that managed that either used 2 overtimes, or a defensive and a special teams TD.

Trevor Knight may drop 50 on you

With Kevin Sumlin at the controls, a number around 3 seems a bit more realistic.

I hope your backup is ready.

You let Vandy rack up almost 550 total yards and 28 points.
Your defense
Your defense

We had the backups in for some of the third and all of the 4th. 14 points were pure 100% garbage time points.

They rushed for 202 and ran for 209 (hint, that's not close to 550), and we still beat them by 25 points. frick off

Total yards. Including kick off yardage.
Do you even know what the word total means in banjoland?

WRONG.
It was 411, and most of those came against 3rd stringers after we were up 30.
Forgive me if I'm not worried about an offense that scored 3 against Ole Miss, 7 against LSU, and 10 against Auburn, who everyone destroyed.

Do you even know that kickoffs are an entirely separate phase of the game from defense?

beat them by 25 and we called off the dogs when it was 53-14. I don't think Vandy gained a first down in the 3rd quarter.

Because KR yardage can be attributed to defense
fricking retard.
(also the reason they had a lot of KR yardage is because we scored so much.)
