Next season outlooks for FB

The children's table:
UTk : What’s UTk’s outlook? Surely bleak, losing their only offensive weapon in Hooker? It’s not like they are crushing it in recruiting either, like not even in the top 10 again. Hype is gone. I mean seriously, enjoy this season and being this close to the CFP that y’all won’t get in really stings. Reading all y’alls post is depressing.
The adults table:
LSU: BK’s least most talented team? As an LSU fan, I think next year will be more of a let down just because of the defensive weapons we are losing.
UGA: Great incoming recruiting class, but I don’t see how y’all escape another season without dipping in the portal. I expect y’all to be back in the CFP next year.
Bama: Who knows? Losing A LOT and besides Gibbs, none of the transfers are panning out. Get ready for another rough season. Still have a better chance at the playoffs than UTk.

The only concern there is if QB2 Carson Beck is good or not. He looked horrible in garbage time in 2021, but his garbage time snaps in 2022 have looked much improved. Much more of a prototypical QB with the NFL arm and several inches taller than Stetson.

Transfer Portal, injuries, coaches leaving, etc. A lot of stuff will be happening in between now and next year.

Not really. Probably have AD Mitchell, McConkey, Bowers, Delp, Arian Smith, Blaylock (maybe),Bell and Meeks and Morrisette. All have had a decent amount of playing time and have looked pretty good. We are expecting to bring in some good ones this class, too.

Just looking at Georgia and Tennessee current rosters. Tennessee has 30 Srs and Ga has 15. Tn has 28 Jrs and Ga has 24. Tn has 19 So and Ga has 34. Tn has 30 Fr and Ga has 45. Ga has played more Fr and So than almost any team in the country. GA’s recruiting class will blow away Tn’s.

That’s an absolute insane number of seniors. Had no clue, UTk was facing that big of a cliff.

Don't think we really have portal needs next year.
QB - Lose Bennett. Beck has looked ready and we have 2 other highly ranked guys after him should he falter.
RB - McIntosh moves on, but we have 3 experienced guys after him
WR - Kearis Jackson is the only guy moving on. Fine at WR.
TE - Probably lose Darnell Washington. still have 3 other studs.
OL - Warren Ericson is the only SR in the 2 deep. Van Pran and Broderick Jones could leave early, but it's not certain for either.
on Defense
Jalen Carter and Trammel Walthour from the DL, but young guys are getting tons of reps this year. Not too concerned.
At LB lose Nolan SMith (already out for the year) and Robert Beal. Lots of young depth. No concern.
At DB, Chris Smith and Kelee Ringo likely gone. This is the only position UGA might decide to dip into the portal for help at. Really have no need of it anywhere else.

Will miss Smith but I won’t miss Ringo who I view as a two play wonder. Interception in championship game of under thrown ball made him a star. Interception in Tennessee was great play. He is not a cover corner and probably worst tackler on our defense. Has committed more dumb penalties that kept drives for opposing team going than any other player on defense. This includes 4th and 17 and 4th and 27 plays. Responsible for punt return for touchdown in last game when he missed simple tackle and facemask penalty 20 yards from another play. Kirby was screaming at him from sideline asking him if he wanted to play.

Replacing Big 0 is going to be the biggest deal. Just can't replace the advantage of having a super athletic sixth OL on the field almost all the time.
Jalen Carter also hard to replace.
However, UGA has a pretty tame schedule, so could see them in SECCG again.

We need AD Mitchell to get healthy.
We need Rosemy Jacksaint to continue to progress
We need Ladd to stay healthy
And it wouldn’t hurt if a freshmen contributed. Bowers and Delp are back. DW is going to get paid.
What we really need is somebody to establish themselves as RB1.
OL and defense should be pretty salty per usual. Beck is pretty good by I don’t think they can win the NC with him. Just 1 guys opinion.
