Spears declined comment when asked about it in media availability on Wednesday.

Looks like the Bama PR department needs work.

There were dozens of people there. It was the strip after a game. Let's arrest them all and kick them out of school. After all, the rant folks think proximity means accessory.

Glad CBS is doing their own hard-core investigative reporting.

Well reading is hard and shite. You can't go expecting these barner and LSU tards to actually read.

Hell, you can graduate from the barn and be illiterate.

I'm just confused as to what you guys are arguing. I ain't no big city lawya, but I think if this were not true - even couching it in an anonymous source - it could land the NYT in hot water. There's no way they're sticking their necks out like that for small potatoes like Alabama basketball if it's not true.

If he wasn't there then they are publishing a false statement that damages his reputation.

If Kai was not there, I still think they would have a hard time creating a successful defamation lawsuit against the NYT.

Reporting that a guy was in a car, essentially a witness, doesn't really hurt his reputation or any other "injury". Just my .02

Probably right. My point was more why in the world report that if it wasn't true?

But if nothing happened, as Bama fans say, then it no different that saying he was at the county fair or at church on Sunday.....

You mean the media will do that, just lie about something?

Do you people hear yourselves?

Their source maybe wrong? Who knows. Lots of conflicting reports by the media.

The media also said initially that Brandon Miller blocked the victims in. Brandon Miller's lawyers said he arrived before the victim. Miller also had a dashcam that was given to police to prove that claim.

Now-a-days, due to Social Media, I think traditional media rushes to publish an article to get the "scoop". Just the world we live in, IMO.

Men's basketball outside of like 6 teams doesn't push the needle at all. Alabama basketball certainly doesn't outside of this season. That would be such a random thing to lie about.
