30million for an extra 1000 seats? That thing is still half the size of Dudy or Baum.

Amateur hour.

I haven’t seen #s announced but I’d guess that’s easily 7k which almost doubles their current park.

That is very impressive, did I miss estimated finish date?

But if they're gonna spend that much and make such big changes, shouldn't they go ahead and move the fence to college distance?

It’s doesn’t almost double nothing. The current stadium setup can hold 5,000. After the upgrades the stadium will hold around 8,000. Outside of the SEC there are not many baseball stadiums bigger than that in baseball.

A very nice, juiced up version, of the current stadium.

Whats different besides the left field area?

Also what’s the point of the obnoxious striped design in the outfield? Trying too hard to make it look natural.
I think it’d be cooler to choose a cool design like a Power T or something and focus on making that look as badass as possible instead of trying to make it look striped like natural grass.

The renovations are projected to be around like $58 million I think I read… UF’s brand new ballpark cost $65 million… with the way Vol baseball is about to blow up, why wouldn’t you guys just tear down that ugly park and start fresh from scratch?

I hope that’s not true. You only had 4300 last night.

Could be a bunch of reasons. Building supplies and consumables have skyrocketed. I bet if UF built there’s in 2023 it would cost another 10M easily.

Some of their current stadium is fairly new. They can use it and save money.

Plus, maybe they like the current location. A new park would mean a new location of a season away from home.

Really don’t have any room on campus for a new stadium

You sound like a fricking woman. Bitching about being annoyed over something that doesn’t even involve you…
I don’t remember asking you anything.

It is incredible having all the facilities right there on campus down the street from each other. Not many can say that.
The new field will be amazing and expect the atmosphere will be an even better home field advantage for years to come.
