Is it possible that this new contract came in after Sark’s agent negotiated due Saban’s retirement announcement and it’s only now becoming official?
Alabama wasn’t coming after Sark. They got played

Finding a good coach is harder than it sounds.

if i know texas, the have a clause in that contract that will allow them to terminate sark for cause if he picks up a bottle again. theyll be holding that card in their back pocket for sure

quote:Nope, but he was and still is trending in the right direction. The AD recognizes how recruiting was beginning to tank under Herman and his arrogance...leaving Sark with a very small handful of outstanding players (Bijan, RoJo, and a couple defensive players none here would remember) and a whole lot of meh (including QB) at other positions. Sark has cleaned house of the wastes of schollies and recruited players that can win big if they pan out and used the portal to not chase stars looking for a bigger NIL payout in ATX, but players that actually fill a position of need at a high level. So in that sense he earned the hefty raise...maybe not $10mil a year hefty, but we shall see.
Is one good year really earning it?

quote:Unlike aggy who only required their coach to sign on the dotted line and nothing else, there will be several clauses, not sure that one is necessary though, Sark has no intention of going back to that life. However there will also be incentive clauses where he can earn more than 10mil per year, but those will be pretty high.

Jimmy Sexton may be the best in the biz, but he knows dealing with Texas is different than aggy...he comes to the table with more realistic negotiation points when the Texas AD and bigwigs are on the other side of table, desperation for relevance is not part of the mix.

Sark’s actually walked what Charlie Strong talked.

If he wanted it, the job was his. He was already coach in waiting at Alabama.
But considering Texas hasn’t had a HC willingly leave for another school in over 100 years… that wasn’t happening.

Odd coming from an Aggie. I assumed your standards would be lower, with the state of your program. Making a four team playoff qualifies as a good season for most.

So texas is going the Texas a and m jimbo route

Qualifying for the playoff. Good for you, whatever helps you sleep at night.
If that’s all you got to brag about you are helping pro my point.
Answer this easy question. What was your second best win last year. I want to know about the second best team you beat last year. I’m sure they were a great team that only other great teams beat.

I am wondering how much Sam Pittman is being paid to coach at Arkansas.

What are you trying to prove here? Is Sark overpaid? Of course. All of these guys are.
Does that make you feel better?

I don’t know who the second best was. All I know is we won our conference, things lined up well and we made the playoffs. I’m content with that. I’m not bragging, but it’s certainly something I was happy about.
So why don’t you educate me who our second nest win was and what the point odds you’re trying to make. And my apologies if you made this point earlier in this thread. I’m not following all of it.

Oh it is an easier league. No more tough games against TCU for y'all.

I love Texas a&m fans. It’s as if they still don’t understand god put them on this planet just for us to point and laugh at

Shea cannot prove it because it is XWing.
If anything, being compared to this “XWing” is honestly pretty flattering. Guy really did a number on yall
Why does every aggie accuse me of being this guy after I make them cry on this site?

Doubt it will be in Fayetteville.
