Why? We’re not in the top 4 yet.

And you won't be this year because even if Bama loses to Florida in two weeks they locked up a playoff spot yesterday. Only way the sec gets two in is if fl beats Bama and then they are both in. I don't see any way a&m jumps anyone unless ND beats clemson again.

Does not matter if UF is in front of A&M or behind. Beat Bama and you jump Ags anyway and you would deserve to. Lose and you are 2 loss team.

The ONLY chance Ags have of making playoffs starts and ends with Bama beating UF AND Clemson beating ND decisively... 20 or so points. Both of these things happen then Ags have about a 40% chance of making playoffs. A lot of stuff has to go right.

Not to mention Ags have work to do ourselves.

Wouldn’t the better opportunity be a Bama win over UF in the SECCG and a ND win over Clemson in the rematch? If ND and Clemson split, I think both get in, regardless of the scores.

If Aggie were to make the playoffs it would be at number 4 and would probably have to play #1 Bama again. Wouldn't you guys rather just go to a New year's day bowl and have a better shot at winning?

No. A shot at a title is always better. Y’all have more CFP losses than anyone not named Oklahoma.

Realistically, A&M needs ND to win. Clemson with two losses is not getting in

And you don't know how bad it sucks to end the year with a loss in the playoffs. Last year before we got our second loss, some were saying we could still make it. But I didn't want to go because I knew we had no shot of winning without Tua. aTm is in a similar position because they simply don't have the offense to win it. And though we have the second most playoff losses we also have the most playoff wins too.

The committee would probably stick ND at #1 over Bama just to avoid a rematch in the first round.

Aggies would get waxed in the playoffs. Almost hope they slide in just to watch that happen.

By whom would we get waxed? ND? The same ND that has the DC that is an Elko disciple?

Clemson? The same team that A&M has fought to the wire the last two years?

Only wildcard is tOSU. They have a lot of talent ...

Alabama would, and already has, waxed us

I would love that. I do think Aggie would beat ND. But I don't think they beat Clemson with Sunshine. But the reason I would like that is that historically Bama is much better at number 2 than 1. Must be the rat posion thing.

This isn't entirely true, an ND win would work also.
