I don’t think they’re “loosing” traditions.

The NCAA? Why would they care? This isn't the FCS or D2 playoffs.

The five conference auto bids are a separate issue and they need to go away. Not being in a conference hurts their SOS and with that SOS they are starting off with probably only having one loss to give.

Not playing in a bowl hurts them in the sense that they could get a big payout directly into their AD and go have an all expense paid party at a bowl and play their 3rd string hungover if they want to. That's what I would do. Seems a bit like holding your breath and stomping your feet if you ask me.

I e been telling my ND buddy it will happen. There is no reason for a sec team to schedule ND. SEC and Big 10 teams have 8 or 9 more important games than the ND game every year. Meanwhile ND can be up for the 2-3 tough games they play.

Yes. Someone on here actually does their homework. Will go on deaf ears here but this is reality. Don’t blame ND for not joining a conf. Blame the NCAA for allowing it

Don't know why they are crying. It sounds to me like it basically came down to them or Miami, who beat them head to head. Seems to me the committee got this one right.

Eligibility until they join a conference. It’s just that simple. They declined a bowl bid so the NCAA needs to respond in this manner.

I take the point but the promoter of a college basketball tournament, which is ALL the NCAA is, doesn’t have any legal authority to prevent ND from doing ANYTHING. In the next 3-5 years this is going to be the norm and not unusual. Bowl games are quickly becoming valueless.

ND will be in the B1G soon. The last big hurdle was AAU membership. This will just speed up the process. Get ready for 20 teams in the B1G and 20 in the SEC. You can hate it and I understand but it's inevitable.

Sure I agree.

We don’t need them mucking up the rankings

Uhhhh,….sort of. The committee made this an issue for themselves by ranking ND ahead of Miami every week for the meaningless ESPN TV show,…..until it counted. Then they moved Miami ahead of ND, it was ridiculous to wait until that point in time to make the change.

That's the sole purpose of the committee: create drama for the 24-hour news cycle. Everyone is talking about it. Mission accomplished.
