The NCAA interviewed a 2016 Bama signee also. Ole Mi$$ is so screwed it isn't even funny.

Just wait until they investigate Greg Little's recruitment, Ole Miss better enjoy seeing Little play for them this year, he will not be playing for Ole Miss next year.

Wait Ross Bjork said how many months ago that the investigation was over. PLEASE OM fan tell me now that wasn't a lie and look like the delusional fools your fan base has been the last year about this.

Ole miss better soak up all from this season as they can because after this year, the only thing they'll have to look forward to on football Saturday's is sipping on Hotty Toddys and chewing on chicken tenders in the Grove

Sounds like the NCAA has uncovered a mountain of shite on OM and just when they "think" they've gotten to the bottom of one rabbit hole, another tunnel opens up and they have to go to even greater lengths to get to the bottom of it.

Eta: if true

My God, within the last couple of months they were interviewing players at multiple SEC programs about their OleMiss recruitment and granting freaking immunity to get them to speak?

This is unprecedented procedure for the NCAA isn't it?

OM just needs to come clean and ask for forgiveness, the NCAA is usually pretty lenient if you work with them. It's when you're uncooperative (like what SC did) that they lay the hammer down. We're just now recovering from those brutal sanctions.

exactly. Bruce Pearl got hit with a show cause not because what he did was that egregious (what he did is actually not a violation anymore), it's because he told the NCAA a bold-faced lie. They don't like being lied to.

I agree...and it appears that OM is obfuscating more than USCw. Their administration has lied, over and over again, to the public.

I think OM is going to get absolutely hammered when this is all said and done, not so much because of what they did, or were caught doing, but because of their attitude and because of the state in which the school calls home.

This obviously is really bad for us. If I wanted to spin it I would say maybe this means they can't prove anything with what they have so far so they're getting desperate to find something more? I dunno, but I'm sure there were rules broken in the recruitment of players so if they grant immunity to kids from other schools it gives them a good reason to talk.

Almost at the point now where if I'm Freeze I say if we go down we're taking the whole system down. Have Nkemdiche, Tunsil, Treadwell, Shea, Little, and other high profile recruits all write in detail about their recruitment and what all the schools offered.

You're pinning your hopes on something written by Pat Forde. The master of click bait

Think about that for a second.

you can only claim the 5th in a civil suit if what you're asked could be used against you at a criminal hearing. You can't just plead the 5th if you think it would be damaging to your civil case. And the effect not testifying in a civil case has is that it essentially makes what the other side said non-rebutted fact. If you do not testify to rebut what the opposing side has presented, then the Court will take their testimony evidence as the truth. But the most common time you'll see someone invoking their 5th amendment privilege in a civil matter is if there is a pending criminal action or their testimony could result in one.

Okay I thought about it. So you are definitely in the "nothing to see here" and "9 over 3" camp huh?

Just ask Bruce Pearl about a little backyard BBQ. The BBQ was a slap on the wrist violation. Not telling the truth and trying to cover it up got Pearl a rectal exam.

Im not an Ole Miss fan but this seems sketchy as hell.

It happened with Lester Earl during the investigation into LSU basketball back in the '90s. They not only gave him immunity, but also promised him he would be eligible immediately at Kansas instead of having to wait two years (since LSU did not grant his release) or even one (if LSU had granted the release). Years later, he admitted that he lied about at least some of it solely because of the eligibility incentive. His career was going to be effectively over if he didn't tell them enough wrong about LSU, so he told them what he knew and then some.

Nkimdiche, Tunsil, and Treadwell have no reason to talk to the NCAA. It serves them basically nothing and they aren't required to speak with them anymore. And Shea, Little, and others currently playing would be idiotic to speak unless they're granted immunity. They may want to defend Freeze and Ole Miss, but they're not going to jeopardize their legibility with hopes of exposing the entire system. No one's loyalty runs that deep because, at the end of the day, college football is just a means to an end to play in the NFL.

This.

OM fans don't seem to understand that the NCAA doesn't really care about cheating as long as you come clean when asked. They only care if you cheat and then repeatedly lie to them about it.

Where have we lied to the ncaa?

Freeze and Bjorks Twitter accounts don't count as communication between them and the ncaa...no matter how much you want it to be.
