Been telling Auburn friends that I thought they'd go as far as Pettiford will take them in the tourney. He's really the guy who has NBA star potential on this roster. They were going to run into a game where they were just going to need a guard to go score because the opponent takes away all the post entry and back cuts integral to their core offense.

Yeah, you only go as far as your guards take you in the tournament. Tonight Tahaad and Denver have stepped up big time. As has Broome.

Broome is a great college player and he'll spend some time in the NBA but Pettiford is the guy on this roster who has NBA stardom as his ceiling.
The fact that Auburn can play a pure team game offense with the flex motions and pin downs by the bigs but change it up and just let Pettiford isolate or play two-man games if nothing is working is precisely why they're the #1 overall seed.
