It's true and it's still not over. We better pray it's only a two year ban. I'm not getting my hopes up. I still stand firm that it wasn't worth it. Not one bit. I see our hopefully team of 1 to no stars unless they somehow get someone now to figure out how to keep some from leaving. They are going to be free to play anywhere and why stick around? Let's be honest, they're not here cause we were going to win a championship. Unless they keep throwing money. They gone.

That's what ultimately earned SMU a cancelled season--being a repeat violator after already having been placed on probation.

It's exactly why I say "hogwash" to those who echo the unfounded talking point that "the NCAA will never again hand down the death penalty."

Like heck they won't.

In all honesty, we joke a lot about the "death penalty". But if even half of the rumors floating around about what's still out there are true, I wouldn't be surprised to see them do it.

What are these rumors? All of you talk about them; none of you actually say what they are.

I agree.
At the risk of making a political comparison, that was the obvious problem with continuing to draw a red-line with regard to Syria, rather than taking action.
It's a toothless threat.
At some point, the NCAA is going to re-establish its credibility.

Auburn, Miami, and North Carolina made them look like fools......Ole Miss served this up on a silver platter. They are the perfect poster child to make an example of....

Rose Bowl has mentioned that more, even worse, details are coming from the phone records. This could be anything, and I'm not gonna lie and say that I know exactly what is true and what isn't. But I will say that some of the rumors on the front page have made their way around.
