Likely because HBCUs don't have top notch facilities to start with and just maybe the City of Jackson just happened to have a Minor League Stadium that wasn't being used was the best facility to host that tourney among conference members

Holy frick...

Alabama A&M is on the north side of Huntsville, AL and that area just got a new stadium for their AA team.

Besides that, there are several minor league venues in the SWAC footprint that could host (Montgomery, Little Rock, Corpus Christi, Mobile, Memphis)

Are people still dumb enough to not realize the CSA battle flag was not the only flag of the confederacy?

Yes, very much so

The current flag was adopted in 1890. So it hasn’t always been the state flag. If it was changed before, it can change again.

It was changed from their Civil War era flag to the current flag. It's not like it was changed from something innocuous to having a confederate battle flag.

Sounds like an excellent way to punish black residents of Mississippi.

Was that new minor league stadium in N Huntsville in the BUDGET of the SWAC?

The SWAC has to find the best facility within their budget that takes into account travel requirements for their member colleges

I don't know the budget of the SWAC, but I do know that Mobile has a minor league stadium sitting empty, Rickwood Field in Birmingham is historic and was once home to a Negro League team, and the Lookouts are hurting for $$$ and would gladly talk to the Southern League to take a road trip while the SWAC plays a tournament in Chattanooga.

Your assumption that the SWAC is playing its tourny in Jackson (over their distaste of the state flag) because of budget issues is really showing your bias there.

It's a great ballpark. The Hogs play a game there every season.

Do you often guess about things you have no idea or background on?

I'd have expected freshman classes at GTU would have gotten that out of you.
