Have y'all seen the 30 for 30 Survive and Advance? The first hotel NC State stayed in had mirrors on the ceiling and was clearly a hooker motel.

Exactly right. I've stayed in some true shitehole in this country and overseas....some where you could see the old cum tracks on the supposed "clean" sheets. Nastiness...but you make do.

This hotel issue with an NCAA softball team could get dicey IF they were to compare their accommodations with NCAA baseball teams. Anyone remember the weights/workout area NCAA basketball girls got compared to the guys a few yrs ago?

Like most mid to large cities, Savannah is fine if you don’t wander where you’re not supposed to. Tons of hotels in the city, many of which are both in safe areas and clean
Statesboro is a shithole. For Southern grads, it’s just a matter of accepting and loving the shithole for what it is.

Mike Leach would have said the accommodations were actually way too generous

Stayed in some very expensive hotels where i get to the room and it was not fully cleaned. The desk handled it.

I used to do some work in College Station and I know some guys that would stay at the University Inn. I always enjoyed visiting BCS, but that hotel was way worse than these photos.

That translates to pulling a list and sending it. The visiting school makes their own arrangements. Small schools generally don’t have the budget to accommodate renting a decent hotel. 40 kids plus support staff is going to end up being 15 plus rooms for 5 days plus food and transportation. Lord knows I went to the student body government enough times getting matching guns to accommodate 12-15 kids and 2 coaches back in the day.

Not that we deserve to host this year, but we try to take care of folks in the SEC. Especially for national events like this that bring in revenue: everyone has their calendars circled.

This sounds like a job for the Piped Piper.

Mizzou State is softer than Mizzou ... didn't think that was possible.

How do you read that and come to that conclusion?

Life hack: don’t book a room at the Microtel.
Posted on 6/2/22 at 8:21 pm to Imber
Hotels are recommended to the participating teams by the host school and the NCAA who pays the costs. That Microtel should never have been recommended to or assigned to MO State.
Sidenote: Microtels are shite hotels and should be avoided at all costs.

How is there a 3 page and counting thread on this? Man I hate living in this day and age with everyone's faux outrage.
The responsibility and fault lie with Microtel. That is it. Nothing more. Sweet Geezus.

I mean, Stoolwater is a dump, but I blame this on the school who booked the hotel, I mean there is such a thing as Yelp...
I've had to stay in Stoolwater on multiple occasions and have never had any issue with Hotels, now interesting things to do other than the games is another story.. It's worth the hour drive to OKC.
