Well, I guess we'll find out. I mean Saban's not been the best X and O guy himself but yes he does get the right people. Kirby's gotta do that too else we don't get to the promised land.
Right, Saban doesn't understand football and is basically just a CEO like Oregon. Saban is a good organizer and that can go a long way. He hires people that understand how to run a defense and offense and special teams and there is nothing wrong with that. That's the way to go nowadays, it seems.
Saban is pretty good at QB development, on a personal level. He just gets their minds right; he doesn't know what to tell them to do on the field.
If you ask Saban a question related to a particular defensive set or scheme, for example, he just goes blank and kind of stares off. He does other things very well though.

I am waiting for Clay Webb to break out. He is one of Kirby’s 5
He can't seem to gain enough weight to crack the lineup. Last I heard he was still sitting at 275.

Daniels is as good as Mac Jones

Can't believe no one called you out on this.
Pretty sure Mac could've done better than one TD and one pick vs Cincinnati.
No. He's trying to say that I said that. You can go back and check my posts. If you find where I said anything close to that let me know.
He's just another troll that wants to stuff words in other people's mouths and then point and laugh, when they didn't say anything close to what he is claiming.

Your observation was Jones was not very Mobil. My question to you was do you think Daniels is as good as Jones. It seems Jones lack of mobility had no effect on the performance of the team.

Isn’t Saban pretty legit with the secondary? Seems like I always see him being very hands on with the backend of the defense.

I'll just say I am not worried about our OLine. If you are, then that is your prerogative
Against the best defensive fronts (clemson, florida, bama), i worry.
We struggled against an undersized Cincy front. They were good. And we definitely had our hands full.

And he was not. Now tell us how you conflate that to mean that Daniels is as good or better than Jones. I'll wait while you deflect, backtrack and put more words into my mouth.

You didn't ask a question. Here is your direct quote:
Daniels is as good as Jones. I am not sure I am signing up for that. I’ll check with you after you win the NC
Mind pointing out the question? I'll be glad to answer it.
And here is the link to our conversation:

I'll go one step further and post our conversation:
Here is the statement I responded to and the following conversation:
JT Daniels isn't very mobile.
Then I said:
How mobile was Mac Jones last year? I didn't know there was a hard and fast rule that it was a requirement to win.
Your response:
Daniels is as good as Jones. I am not sure I am signing up for that. I’ll check with you after you win the NC
So....first show me where I said Daniels was as good as Jones. Then you can show me your question.

quote:People forget that Cincy had one of the best DLines in the country and was known for putting pressure on QBs using a 3 man DLine and dropping the rest into coverage. We also had 3 or 4 of our OLinemen playing new positions. I mean, yeah, we could have done better. And yes, I will worry about Clemson and Alabama and probably Florida, but our OLine is not bad. For the other poster to say, "Nonetheless, UGA's offensive line isn't very good" is an incredibly ignorant thing to say, imo. (I realize it was not you that said it....I was just giving context to what I was responding to.

Start all the redundant threads you like, only one measuring stick here I remotely care about.
BEAT Clemson, then I'll believe.

What if I told you that Georgia will beat Florida, Tennessee, and Auburn this year yet still won’t make it to the SEC Championship game in Atlanta?

Austin Peay, Army, USF, SMU, Memphis, Houston, ECU, UCF, Temple, Tulsa. That’s who that vaulted DLine went up against. That’s pretty much who SEC teams schedule for homecoming.

Absolutely no doubt they did not play an SEC schedule. Shall we see where some of those guys went or will go in the NFL Draft, now? Betcha higher than most on that vaunted Tennessee line.

My bad bruh, we stay out of the political scene here in Oklahoma. Seems as though he is always coaching up the secondary!

Ah!
I do share your enthusiasm for beating Clemson, though.
