NC game or bust for Georgia

With the players we have and with the rest of the SEC down a little bit from last year, we have to at least get back to the NC game (I don't care if we win the SEC or not). Otherwise this season will be a big disappointment for the Dawgs. If not now, when?

Well, I guess we'll find out. I mean Saban's not been the best X and O guy himself but yes he does get the right people. Kirby's gotta do that too else we don't get to the promised land.

That would apply only to the East and particularly Florida. But to get to the question, yes they need this win a whole lot more than Clemson needs this win. Clemson has put huge deposits in the bank with their playoff success. Whereas Georgia's football program has been overdrawn for quite some years.

This is the year, at a minimum should be in playoffs.
Don't necessarily have to win the SEC but that's the easiest way to punch your ticket.

Certainly can't blame Dawg fans for feeling that way, but man that's a pretty uncomfortable spot to be in.

Next year? Or the year after..... Or did Kirby decide to quit recruiting? You guys aren't going anywhere imo.
Not saying UGa couldn't win it this year, I just think it is silly to say you couldn't win next year or the year after. But by all means go ahead and put that pressure on your coach.

If Georgia makes the playoff, I won't be disappointed. Georgia has great talent, but alabama still exists.

We just gotta at least win one playoff game and I can be happy with this season, otherwise, why kid ourselves? It will be a big disappointment.

Exactly. Georgia was preseason like 15 or something when we went to the ncg. It doesn't always happen when you expect it

Georgia has the foundation to be in the NC hunt this year and for years to come. There was a great article in the AJC this week about the huge advantages UGA has and the general feeling that if not this year, a NC is coming soon. Probably more than one. Just too many resources at UGA for it not to happen. Most UGA fans are quite content to be one of the truly elite programs in the country and are confident that UGA will bring a NC to Athens. If it’s this year great. If not, it’s coming and we will enjoy the ride in the meantime. The AJC also had several pages of stories about the UGA program and the huge investment and commitment that has been made in athletics, the new and planned facilities, our very generous fan base and the complex operation that determines how much it will cost to buy in and qualify for season tickets. UGA fans who haven’t seen these articles might check it out. Good read
