No one cares outside of Texas and even then only a portion of both fanbases follow baseball. It will blow over in a day or two

I’m not taking up for Schloss by any means here…
Texas had an opening yesterday. The deal was done well before the finals series. The CWS was over and it’s critical transfer portal time now. There is no way Texas did not have their man yesterday. There is no way Texas did not have their man 3 weeks ago.
The shitty part now is Schloss saving face for the critical portal time to build his team at Texas. I’m of the opinion the only way he can do this is to publicly address the issues he had at A&M while declaring the love and respect for the players he had until this morning in an effort for players to believe in him going forward. It’s a year to year business these days, fortunately or unfortunately as it is.

Yes because clearly, the fans were consulted about this on a telecon and we all voted yes. Not a classy move, but they’re still my team.

Every coach in the SEC left another job for their current job. Schloss left TCU for a&m. Business as usual is fine for everyone but Texas.
I mean, it does happen occasionally. Auburn did it to Ole Miss with Tuberville, you can kinda say Ole Miss did it to Arkansas with Nutt (but Arky fans were wanting him out at that point anyway).

As much as I despise all things longhorn, this isn't a Texas issue, it is a Schlossnagle issue. The Texas AD didn't get up a press conference and berate a reporter for being selfish while knowing he was already gone.
And its not like he doesn't have a precedent for leaving one D1 Texas school for another.
