Proof that Bama needed to pay up and go after the best coach available. Nothing against Oats, but he is in over his head at Bama.

Bama just pulled in a really solid class. Top 10 on some websites. Certainly evidence against him being in over his head

When you have to convince people he is not over his head, there is a good chance that he is. I thought he had talent last year (top 4 in the league) and we saw the results.

A team starting an injured Alex Reese does not have top 4 talent

SEC was down last year with talent. Bama had 3 of the top 12 scorers in the league and wouldn't have made the post season. Call it anything you want.

Lmao please stop. We only had 4 players that were worth a shite. The other 3 in the rotation were basically useless.

Our depth was so bad that we were playing Kira nearly 40 mpg and starting Davis, Reese, Smith, etc.

Just another excuse. The league wasnt very deep and if you have three of the top 12 scorers in the league, you should win more than he did. The league is not going to stand still while Oats improves his depth.

Scoring was not our problem bud.

We only had two good defenders. The rest (Kira, Reese, Smith, Davis, Bolden) ranged from below average to dogshit.

We improved in almost every area. Our big men are 100 times better, we have actual depth now, and we won’t have to play our PG 38 mpg now.

It’s gonna be funny watching you make excuses when Auburn misses the tourney this season

Defense is coaching, you can not teach shooting.

Yep, I remember the first time I threw a basketball at the hoop. I missed, so I just gave up and never played the game again because everyone knew it wasn't possible to teach me how to shoot better.

Top 10 on one website and it’s probably the worst one when it comes to basketball rankings.

It’s a solid class, but it’s also the 6th best in the conference. Let’s not act like recruiting has been the thing keeping bama basketball down

The rankings don’t take into account Bruner, Quinerly, or Gary. That’s a top 5 class tbh

You can teach yourself how to shoot with practice, defense requires coaching. Any time a fan complains about Defense, they need to direct it at the coaching staff. It is either technique or effort, both are the responsibility of the Coaches.

No amount of coaching could make Alex Reese a good defender.

We simply didn’t have enough talent or depth last season. We probably had the worst rim protection in the conference
