This guy is intriguing. I just assumed he was someone Bama grabbed off the coaches’ waiver wire to keep the seat warm because most fans only really care about football. He actually seems like he can coach, however.

If we just wanted to keep the seat warm, we wouldn't have fired Avery.
Contrary to popular belief, we have a lot of basketball fans.

Why are they blue and why do you have 8 of them?

I’m a casual basketball fan and even I’d heard of what he did at Buffalo. Dude went 32-4 in 2018-2019 and beat Arizona in NCAA 1st round as a 13 seed. How does a Kentucky basketball fan not know this? Oh, I just answered my own question.

Oats had a team ready to play, and play they did. Drive and score, hit from three and I have nothing left to post.

Talent is still a bit limited right now.
Roster was basically turned over in one year, had a transfer from Villanova who wasn’t granted a waiver and a couple injuries preseason or the team would be in a much different place.

Yeah! Who is this Nake Oaks and when did Bama hire him?!

You don't watch much Bama basketball I see.
Two of Bama's top 3 scorers from last season returned along with three others that averaged 13 or more minutes per game. Donta Hall was the only double figures scorer that left.
There was no more roster turnover than any other team has in a typical basketball off season.

We didn't lose many players, but arguably 3 of our best 6 players are unavailable (2 injuries, 1 ineligible).

Throw Gottfried in there. At his peak, he filled up the arena for a lot of games.
Hell, even Grant and Johnson filled it up a couple of times. Hobbs as well.

No, the truth is there were some dumbass fans that didn't want guys to return. But a lot of us were very happy to see guys coming back and wished one or two more had stayed.

Yep. The only one I remember there being a consensus on fans not wanting back was Galin Smith. But despite his limitations, he's given us a lot of quality minutes this year and I'm glad he stuck around.

Hell I remember when CM got us to a NIT bid back in early 70's....That was a big deal for Bama.

I know we had a lot of fans that thought Kira was the only good player on the team, but that's not the point. The guy said Bama had complete roster turnover and that's not anywhere close to the truth.
