Autozone Park (Memphis) - 10,000
Zephyr Field (New Orleans) - 10,000
Regions Field (Birmingham) - 8,500
Trustman Park (Jackson) - 8,480
Smokies Stadium (Sevierville/Knoxville) - 6,412
AT&T Field (Chattanooga) - 6,362
MGM Park (Biloxi) - 6,076
Blue Wahoos Stadium (Pensacola) - 5,038

They are just toying with these other cities inviting bids. It will be in Hoover for another 5 years with required updates to the stadium per SEC instructions.

Thus the tournament should not be in Atlanta or Nashville

Because they already have the FB and Baskerball champioships?Sorry,
not a valid reason at all. You put it where you have the best chance
for success (attendance, revenues and fan experience)

The only reason it's in 'bama now is location. It's about as central as you can get to all SEC teams. Moving to Memphis would keep it relatively central I guess.

I wouldn't mind Memphis or Nashville. Both are great cities.

First Tennessee Park (Nashville) - 10,000
Autozone Park (Memphis) - 10,000

Sorry, the Memphis stadium does like a nice facility but not sure about
the infrastructure and the fact that I really don't think Memphis is a destination
folks want to follow their team to.

I'm closer to Gwinnett than Memphis, but I'd much rather go to Memphis for the tourney. CoolRay is sterile, boring, and suburban. I went to one G-Braves game a few years back, and the overall experience was bad enough that I have no desire to ever go back.

That said, Memphis is awfully far for the Carolina fans making the trek. But you can't make these decisions based off of one fanbase.

More specifically it is central to the programs that drive to SEC Tournaments (other than maybe Arkansas). Also, they are comfortable there and Hoover has perfected putting on the tournament. The coaches and teams love it there.

I'd be fine with it moving to Nashville or Memphis, though.

Yea, Memphis would stay relatively close to a large number of conference schools. You would just switch long trips from Arkansas and Missouri to Florida and South Carolina.

Oxford to Memphis - 1 hr 21 min
Starkville to Memphis - 2 hr 46 min
Nashville to Memphis - 3 hr 12 min
Tuscaloosa to Memphis - 3 hr 43 min
Fayetteville to Memphis - 4 hr 38 min
Baton Rouge to Memphis - 5 hr 32 min
Auburn to Memphis - 5 hr 43 min
Columbia, MO to Memphis - 5 hr 45 min
Knoxville to Memphis - 5 hr 49 min
Lexington to Memphis - 6 hr 25 min
Athens to Memphis - 7 hr 5 min
College Station to Memphis - 8 hr 39 min
Columbia SC to Memphis - 8 hr 48 min
Gainesville to Memphis - 10 hr 26 min

When I was at umc we would go for "thirsty Thursday" and the governors cup, but there is no way they should ever host the tourney in Jackson.

Old Smith Wills or new Trustmark Park?

Trustmark is nice. AA Braves play there. Its not Memphis, Nashville or the new park in Birmingham though.

MGM Park in Biloxi is nice as well

SEC Baseball, gambling at the Beau Rivage and a deep sea fishing trip sounds like a good weekend for a lot of fans.

Trustmark. It's more about the city of Jackson being a dump than the stadium.

And I want to get down to the coast to see the new stadium soon. Do some golfing and gambling

I am in favor of a small rotation as long as it doesn't include Birmingham. I will never attend if it remains there. I will, however, go to Nashville.

"....Jackson"

I'm sure the SEC office is just itching to have it's tournament in Jackson ahead of the other cities you listed not to mention leaving Birmingham completely out of the rotation....lol

I'd go if it were in Nashville, but I'd love for it to be in my backyard.

Kind of how feel about Memphis and Metairie. Would love to have it right over the river in Metairie, but I would vote Memphis.

I wonder where most SEC fans would rate Birmingham for fun out of cities in the SEC footprint?

This tourney needs rotating. Nashville is doing it because they have a new AAA park. Memphis has tried before but the Cardinals took ownership of AutoZone last year and put millions into already making one of the best minor league parks better. Birmingham's new park may want to host as well. Oh, the new Atlanta ballpark as well. The ACC has had it's tourney at Fenway before.

Back to Memphis, it's great place for this, a block off of Beale and there's two new hotels going in right across Union from Auto Zone and another hotel that will be part of one Beale.

I'd love for it to find it's way to Biloxi and it's new park, maybe even Montgomery. Some cool parks out there. Wish Nawlins would replace Zephyr. I absolutely hate the basketball tourney being in Nashville all the damn time. With the Tigers suckling it up, maybe the new owner will finally stop placatingng them and go hard after hosting the basketball tourney,FedEx Forum is much better for basketball than Bridgestone and it huge floor for hockey, plus Beale. Same goes for New Orleans and the Quarter. But please no football stadiums for the basketball tourney.

Unfortunately, he rarely misses any game. He sits in my section and I'm sure I'll see him again today.
