I'm sure each team has one they are partial to over the years.

Mine is Leigh Tiffin in 2006.Missed three field goals and an extra point and we won the game 24-23 in double Ot.Bless his heart.

This isn't just a Saban problem,Shula was the coach.

Sad this game defines his career. He got better.

That said if they win the game, 6-6 might’ve = 8-4 and Shula keeps his job. That team never got blown out and was in every game.

He got better but he wasn't an All American level kicker, not first team at least.

Van Tiffin. The kick to win the Iron Bowl has a place in Alabama lore.

Then Phiilip Doyle came in and was an AA kicker.

Then Proctor.

We had a string of really good ones for a while.

Van Tiffin- His kick to beat Auburn inspired me to become a kicker. I went to his kicking camps growing up. He helped me out and I emulated his style.

Phillip Doyle- loved the way he kicked. Hell of a strong leg.

And this is coming from an Auburn fan. I once kicked a 52 yard field goal in front of Pat Dye at an Auburn kicking camp in high school. . I was so pumped, and it was all due to Tiffin’s training.

Michigan fan would say Ryan Pflugner.
Arky fan Leigh Tiffin.
AU fan Cade Foster or Joseph Bulovas.

I hope life has turned out well for him. He was obviously a good athlete to get a scholarship to Bama and he did more than kick. Saw several plays on special teams that looked like he was a linebacker. But his kicking misfortunes directly caused Bama to lose GOTC and 2013 Auburn.

If bamas kickers had muscles in their legs instead of their arms, they might make some kicks

The same one that made the FG at the near end of regulation against LSU that allowed the game to go to OT in 2014.
