Not sure what's funny?

I'm laughing because if any game was going to create a situation like that it was definitely that game.

Cool story but that doesn't excuse having full sodas thrown on you, cans of beer being heaved at you in the parking lot, people just running into you, car being keyed, and tires being slashed. All while being called every name in the book...

But this is the same fanbase who felt it a good idea to poison trees that were almost 100 years old, destroy a schools tradition, and bragged about it. So I don't know why I was surprised.

Well, that's a bad experience, sorry that happened. Can't say I've ever seen or heard of any of those things happening in Tuscaloosa, but those folks were clearly miserable people.

Similar things have happened to friends of mine in Auburn, but like most normal people I don't equate that to "Auburn being an awful place with awful fans" because 99% of the time that isn't the way things happen.

Interesting you say those were miserable people, but then seem to excuse the worst thing that happened, by the most miserable person on the planet..

Stay true to form I guess.

Rolling my eyes at you using Harvey Updyke as some sort of representation of all Alabama fans is not "excusing" what he did.

They didnt start selling beers at OSU until 10 years after you played them

Yeah... the beer bottles were thrown at us when we walked down the gauntlet of bars on the street by the stadium. One smashed on a mailbox like 5 feet from my mother. It was out of control. No place for that in sports. What coward throws a beer at an elderly lady.

I have since considered Ohio State fans the absolute dregs of humanity (and this is coming from someone who has to be around OU fans at least once a year).

Georgia fans, by far. I took my baby cousin to Athens to see the cocks play against them a few years ago, he was 2 at the time. He was holding my hand and we were walking and these grown men came up barking at him and made him cry. I jumped on them and got booted from Sanford and son stadium.

Kansas and Nebraska. Don't miss them and still get great joy when they lose.

None. I don’t get drunk and act like a jackass on road games (anymore anyway) so I have never had any problems.

I have had to help rescue a few groups of opposing fans at Tiger stadium a few times from drunk frat boys idiots but that’s about it and that was in 90s

Here we go.Now the age has been lowered to 2. What a freakin croc...it used to be anywhere from 8 to 12.

NOBODY barked at your 2 year old and made him cry.

God,I've been going to games since '82 and never once saw a child get harrassed.Have I seen my fans act like idiots?Sure but it's not the norm or somehow worse than other places

Not surprised that 90% of LSU fans rank Florida as their least favorite place considering they are by far the most obnoxious visitors I’ve come across.

Outside of the crappy UPD, Gainesville has a ton of new breweries, bars, and restaurants to make for a great weekend!

The tailgate scene is a bit different as it’s spread all throughout campus.

If your AU fan visiting this weekend stop by the parking garage by the Indoor Practice Facility for a beer or Moscow Mule!

I've never been to Gainesville but I will say the Gators have always been pretty good in Jacksonville.Never had a bad time tailgating with em.

Maybe seen a couple of stupid incidentz in 30+ years down there
