Where's it at? I've only seen one bama bar on 8th Ave. near Steep/ Trader Joe's.

The Auburn bar is pretty decent. Great setup

Not even the best in Brazil.

I've met a lot of Brazilians at Nola mardi gras. Most thought we were ficking crazy, which we kind of are.

Mobile is a solid Mardi Gras. My biggest problem is its too orderly. Barricades on the entire route, trucks pulling the floats instead of tractors, less bands and parades are too short.

I like my Mardi Gras slightly dysfunctional. Mobile is like an exercise in military precision. I like the random 20 minute break without a float. It gives me time to pee and smoke a joint. You know, the essentials.

Its called the Irish Hound, off of 6th and St Paul in Cherry Creek, so it's probably the one you're thinking about. It's not bad, just a much older and calmer crowd them I'm used to. It's just not worth the 90 minute round trip drive. Plus, it's nice to be able to smoke a joint and watch the game.

Though my bitterness may be subconscious anger after getting a parking ticket on a Saturday on a residential street. Those Denver meter maids are vicious.

Had to look it up. The one I was talking about is called College Inn.

Figured that it wasn't the only one. It looks pretty small

But yeah, that's not a worthwhile drive

I'm passionate as hell about Mardi Gras. I've only missed one in my life, and i was completely miserable the entire week.

The ride there isn't too bad. But the ride home is pretty sketchy.

This is what came to my mind also - especially in rural Georgia. Or Id at least put it on par with college ball.
