It’s really not though. Rating favors guys that pass the ball a ton. Total QBR is what matters. It takes Strength of Defense, sacks avoided, high leverage vs low leverage situations, etc. all into account.

And no, QB Rating has been outdated for a long time. Total QBR was invented because it’s not a good indicator.

Let me ask you something, which of these players had a better game?

Player A: 27/36, 350 yards, 4 TD, 1 INT, sacked 6 times vs FCS school

Player B: 18/27, 300 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT, 100 rush yards, sacked 0 times vs Top 5 team

Because using QB Rating, Player A would be ranked higher. Picking a stat that can be calculated by scanning a stat sheet over a stat that requires every play to be analyzed is just ignorance.
