"squeak out"?
You mean like not even winning your division(TWICE) and still being given a shot at the national championship?

Our oline lost a lot from last year (Charles, Cushenberry, Lewis, McGee). Then almost the whole new oline had the covid all at once during summer practice and lost 2ish weeks. They did look a lot better game 2, so I am hoping it will become a strength instead of a problem.

. I would have presumed any backups would have been given a TON of reps, considering how many blowout wins LSU had last year (I think you guys only had 2 games, Alabama and Auburn, where you would have had starters in all 4 quarters during the regular season..
Orgeron was more interested in stats

Myles isn’t the issue. Their OL is hot garbage though
5/7 sacks against MSU were Brennan's fault. Period.
OL is better in pass blocking than he has made them look.

one of them was a 2 loss fluke

Sounds likely y'all have massively underachieved for 20 years

quote:historically yes. but it took bama's best decade ever to go 8-3 against lsu and lsu still was in 2 ncg games, winning 1. also, bama has lost 3 of the last 6 against ranked opponents.
That's why we're daddy

Oh are you talking about Bama’s 1941 national championship that no one else recognizes? Alabama-the original 2 loss champions

look up national rankings for passes 20+ yards. where is brennan ranked? i'll wait.

Brennan has young Jalen Hurts syndrome in a bad way. He wants to see the guy open instead of throwing him open, and he wants to bail from the pocket instead of stepping up into the pocket. Jalen got away with it because he was fast and strong as shite

After last season/off season LSU fans deserve all the shite talking they are getting

Thanks to Nick Saban. LSU fans should thank their lucky stars that he stopped in Baton Rouge long enough to build the program
Saban ain’t walking out that LSU locker room no more

Except he doesn’t have near the talent Hurts did even his freshman year

quote:oh, not the wr drops? not the sacks? not the fact that brennan needed to make some improvements from his first start ever? there was enough blame to go around in week 1 yet they still scored 27. they looked MUCH better in week 2 putting up a ton of yards and points. the offense looks like it could be solid the rest of the way, which according to the rant wasn't supposed to happen.
It's easy to pick on Brennan, but the issue really is his OL

The problem is Brennan holds the ball too long, he got his arm hit resulting in an int in the MSU game bc he didn't see wide open man soon enough. 6-4 at best

Oh boy, my favorite, more excuses. Didn't seem to hurt us being in the west. We managed five so far. 3 is just pitiful.

FTR-incontrovertible fact-Those who have actually watched the games, only hold one of his three interceptions against him. He gets a solid B so far. If he gets more decisive in the pocket and gets a more confident pocket presence he could be really good.
