My really early look at the top of the SECB

everyone is picking alabama at the top, and we know why. Nick just puts a quality product out on the field every year, no matter the turnover of players and/or coaches. but let's face it, they don't have the experience to make a run at the national title next year because of that. sure, they'll be in the hunt late for the SEC, and because of that, for the national, but there is too much to overcome. they will be helped by the fact that the rest of the SEC has lost a lot as well.
Still, i like LSU to beat Alabama this year, and not just because i'm a homer. i don't necessarily think we drill them - but we win nonetheless and keep them out of the SEC championship.
you have to look at Georgia as a top contender because of their offense. they will have talent on defense, but not the experience, but they will just outscore their opposition. think alabama last year and lsu the year before.
so those are my top 3, but what about the other teams that are doing well? have been doing well? everyone is hyped on A&M but i don't see it. who is going to play QB for them? based on recent history, you've got to have a magic man at qb to compete for the titles. Alabama has Bryce Young, but again, no experience. his time will come, but not next year. Georgia has their man, and i believe between Brennan and Johnson, LSU has their magic man. Allright, A&M will field a good team, a competitive team, but last year they reminded me of a Les Miles LSU team. gonna beat all the lesser opponents, but can't stack up against the top 7-8 teams in the nation. nor the top 3-5 in the SEC.
Mullen will have his gators competitive, but again, who is the QB? their second stringer was not impressive last year. they cannot challenge with him.
as for the next tier, well, you know Lane Kiffin and the Pirate can run offenses and will compete. i was also impressed with Sam Pittman. he's just got such an uphill battle trying to win in the Sec west. Kentucky will field a good team as well. they should make a little noise.
nope, my top 3 are Georgia, Alabama and LSU, not necessarily in that order. i would pick LSU and Georgia in the title game, but not try to pick a winner until we see them play late in the season. i'm not counting alabama out, but they would have to really mature fast as a team this year. you just don't lose mac Jones, Najee Harris, Devonta Smith and 4 out of 5 starters of your Oline and come back with the same offense. and they lost a lost on defense as well.
that's how i see it. i know i'll get the comments about LSU and how stupid Ed O is and how we stumbled last year. You're stupid if you think O is stupid, and by the end of the season we had improved and were overcoming problems, as we did in this offseason.
gonna be competitive for that coveted SEC title. Good Luck, mates!

We’re returning 3 starters from the Natty O-line (Owens, Neal, Ekiyor)
We’re returning every defensive starter except for Barmore (who barely started), Moses (Moody is better), and Surtain.
Similar returning production overall as last season.

Do sexual harassment and rape claims add to your win total? If not you’ll finish mid pack.

It's bad when dawg fans have to live vicariously through bammer. That makes them aggy.

Isn’t Neal the one that is 6-7 and came in at 380? Coaches told him to slim down but then realized he was still mobile at 380.
I assume he’s smashing folks.

You really needed that many paragraphs to display a surface deep knowledge?

You'd think that after literally a decade of not having a rebuilding year people would stop saying "yeah well Alabama has to replace those draft picks" like it actually means something.
