My honest assessment of LSU / OM

I think LSU is going to edge us out. We have some flashes of excellence but we have yet to put together a complete game on both sides of the ball. It seems that when one side is humming the other one isn't. We are just very inconsistent and I think that gives LSU the edge.

I give the edge to the better QB

I think LSU has a coaching advantage and is probably a more rounded team
I think Ole Miss has a clear quarterback advantage, and is at home
I expect a close game and I'm sure both have kept some things in their back pockets for this game

I think it's going to be a lower scoring game. LSU's defense is better than last season with improvement in the front 7 and more DL pressure. Offensively, we still have a lot of issues to work out from OL consistency to Leavitt's decision making and comfort with all the new WRs.
I do think there will be some big plays to be had for Ole Miss' offense, but there will be a lot stalled drives too. We've also had turnover issues so we could give up easy points with a short field.
In the end I expect a close game with a 4th qtr drive for the win. I wouldn't be surprised if either team wins.

if LSU can stay out of 1st and goal at say the 4 yard line we should be fine. We just need to score from the 20 because our goaline offense is looking very similar to our previous years goaline offense which has got us a lot more Fg's than TD's.

27-24 either direction.
This defense is legitimate but we dont know which of our two games is our actual offense yet.
The team was absolutely looking ahead.

No I think Ole Piss wins a close one.
34-31
Is there a line out on this one yet?

Zero chance OM scores 34. If they win it’ll be because our offense doesn’t reach 20

I give the edge to the better defense

We think LSU’s corners are good but they haven’t really been tested by the likes of OM’s WRs which appear elite and can fly

It’s a close matchup. I hope The Vaught isn’t the difference. Ole Miss by 3.

I saw LSU -2.5.
SP+ shows LSU as 8.9 points better on neutral field.
LSU - 13th O, 2nd D
Ole Miss - 11th O, 39th D
It’ll be a close game. I’d be shocked if I wasn’t a one possession game either way late in the fourth.

I don't know if this is kiffin or Charlie Weiss but this was very common at Ole Miss as well. Like we would move the ball between the twenties like crazy and then as soon as we got in the red zone we would struggle and sometimes come away with no points because he would go for it on fourth down, and also another thing is we would score a touchdown like within the first 3 minutes of the game and then stall.

I'm going into it hoping for a Tigers win, but also fully expecting the emotions of the game to be off the charts. Anything could happen and it wouldn't surprise me.
Well, an Ole Miss blowout win would surprise me.

My assessment is I have no idea. None. I can see a squeaker for either as well as a 10+ point victory for either. I dont know what we, LSU, have yet.

As a LSU fan I completely disagree. I was nauseous after the first half with LA Tech! Omiss by 7.
