Dude sucked, glad we don't have to hear his voice anymore. Now if we could only get rid of Palmer too

The SECN will hire some Jefferson Pilot reject and pair him with an ex-SEC Player. Musberger at least had some credibility.

I think he should have done this 5-10 years ago. He seems to have lost his luster in recent years.

I always liked his calls of games. Maybe because I grew up hearing him call the big games a lot of times. Will hate to see him go.

Being 44 I remember the NFL Today as a kid with Brent hosting with Irv Cross and of course Jimmy the Greek, it was great. I could not wait for Sunday mornings, half of the Falcons home games were blacked out back then so we had to listen to the game on the radio. Musburger has had a hell of a career and will go down as one of the all time greats, who can forget the Flutie call? He will certainly be missed.

He has been truly awful since transitioning to the SEC Network. To his credit being paired with Jesse Palmer probably dragged him down a lot.

I'm sorry and no offense to AJ ... but ... Katharine Webb .... she aight but she ain't all that.
Something about the fake orange-shaped boobs just doesn't do it for me. Besides, until nudes, I'm not interested.
For the matter at hand, Musberger may not get out much. I enjoyed his work on CBS (NFL) back in the 70s/80s and enjoyed his comment about (douchebag) Jimmy the Greek's punch that missed wide and left but it's been about 5 years that he should have retired. It's awkward to listen to him now. All of us have to hang it up at some point and sooner than we'd all like.
