I mean nothing Mullen did at State is really worth mentioning about his future at Florida

His recruiting here has been very meh but he's still working with a different level of talent here than he ever had at State

From an LSU fan perspective, I watched Mullen blowout LSU in Starkville and then beat LSU again in the Swamp. Then Florida played a hell of game in Baton Rouge this past season.

Georgia and Kirby Smart had zero answers on game day against LSU in 2018 and 2019.

I get that LSU whooped Georgia the last two years, but if Kirby is so terrible and Mullen so clearly superior why can’t Dan ever beat him?

He’s at Florida, not Mizzou. It’s not like getting talented players is impossible. I also love the discounting of a coach as “ only winning cause of recruiting.” Recruiting is half of what coaching is. It’d be like saying “he’s only better than me at basketball cause he shoots better”

Yep shooting is a pretty big part of basketball.

UGA won by 7 with a fluke call on a critical 3rd down.

Yeah, one call in the second quarter was the difference haha. You obviously know dick about football. Your team ran for 20 yards and Fromm destroyed y’all on 3rd down. Fromm threw for 110 yards in a win against Auburn and completed less than 50% in half of our games and he torched Florida.

If probability is your thing - and it’s an incomplete pass - than we hit a field goal and beat y’all by 3 instead of 7 you fricking joke.

UGA has a new O line coach, a new O.C., a new transfer QB. A tougher schedule. And no spring practices to install all that new shite.

The offense can’t get any worse. This is an obscure stat but I’d love to know the last 12 win team who’s quarterback completed less than 50% of his passes in 6/14 games.

Mullen has Florida going in the right direction I think. They're going to be in serious contention for the east this year and I believe they're doing to beat uga to go to Atlanta honestly. Trask is a good qb and this is their year to get back on top in their division. Georgia has had the luxury of Florida being down since Kirby arrived and thats coming to an end now with Mullen at Florida. All uga has won in that timeframe is one sec title...one. sure they made it to the cfb championship game, but they lost. Georgia let their opportunity pass them by without winning a natty, with all of the benefits in the world in their favor, they still couldn't get it done. Now, with Florida back, and if Tennessee can ever get their shite together (they are looking pretty good in recruiting), it's going to be that much tougher for uga to win an sec title, much less a natty. Then, next year they play Auburn and at bama, which is a tough draw out of the west. Kirby better start winning big and quickly, but I don't see him being able to do it. Uga is in trouble.

Reading comprehension is not your thing, I see.
I clearly stated UGA's O line was the difference in the game.

I explained myself, now you please explain why UGA hasn't been able to win a National Championship in 40 years?

You may not the dumbest person on the planet, but you sure better hope he doesn’t die.

You want to explain to me, then, why Kirby is 3-0 against Mullen head to head?

Georgia had the definite edge on tallent every time. I think the gap will continue to close, and you will start to see the series split more between Florida and Georgia.

As a gameplanner and game day coach, I still have to pick Mullen over Smart. Smart is a far superior recruiter though, and so far that has worked pretty well at Georgia.

Mullen isn’t that good of a gameday coach. He can keep the train on the rails, but not much more.
He builds up talent and fields good teams, but he can’t scheme to give them advantages. His clock management was also infamously poor at MSU.

Complex thoughts and analyzing must not be yours. The difference in the game was the o-line but we only won because of a blown incomplete pass call? You’re a joke.

Had nothing to do with us going 12/18 on 3rd down? Mullen abandoning the run? Florida rushing for 20 yards? You probably don’t know this but the team that has run for more yards in the WLOCP the last 30 years has won the game EVERY TIME. So was it the blown call or the offensive line? Hahaha go sit down you fricking child

Well shucks, guys, I guess Kirby only got 4 years to win a national title as a HC. The decline is obvious after only winning 13, 11, and 12 games the past 3 years. I mean, our 2020 roster is full of scrubs from the #1, #2, #1, and #3 classes with the best defense statistically in school history returning.

Let the rebuild begin

Nearly every starter on the Ole Miss squad that season was bought talent. GT was less talented on paper but had superior game preparation and we had no DC.

Agreed y'all are set for the near future compared to everyone but Bama; the only thing that would worry me if I were a UGA fan would be Smart getting the reputation as a QB-killer like Miles had here. Bama otoh has at least three years of Bryce Young and a reputation for turning out QBs and WRs (and Clemson has DJ)

I mean we’re doing fine with Newman for a year, Beck as an EE, and Vandagriff committed. I’d be worried if Kirby had stuck with Coley at OC for another year but he did what needed doing and brought in Monken and Faulkner to open things up.

We were there a little while. Dak was Mullen's perfect system qb and was underrated. Still is.

I mean it’s not like that Georgia tech team was a bad football team. They finished the year 11-3 with wins against Georgia and Clemson and came within 2 of the Florida State playoff team. Also, throw in the fact that it’s never easy to prepare for the triple option and you can see how State lost that game.
