Perhaps she can contact Ms. Saban. Same source had her looking for homes a few years ago

Meyer could absolutely do to the Texas booster class what Saban did to the Alabama Bryant era holdover wannabe kingmakers.

As 19 said, he has the clout to show up and tell them exactly how it's gonna go.

So he's putting the band back together? I just heard our coach is on his way as well.

My son, DIL and her family live in Austin. Her mom and dad are UT alumni and avid supporters. They expect a winner there and they will be very excited to know this. Very excited as things are now going to be looking up for the Longhorns and their network.

Hope CUM finds a place close to a good hospital... just in case those chest pains flare back up.

NOBODY has the clout to tell the Texas boosters how it is going to go ... they think it is their God-given right to own all of CFB. Think Jerry Jones (yes, I know he's Arkansas)

The TAMUs will jump in here and throw cute names at UT, but CUM would kill it there.

People thought the same thing about Alabama until Saban got there and told them how things were going to be. Alabama, at that time, was very much like Texas in having their boosters try to undermine their coaches and run things how they want to run things. Saban, just like he did at LSU, told them when he took the job that he was going to do things his way or no way.

There isn't a coach in football that can control the boosters in Austin. Their level of arrogance is something Alabama fans cannot fathom. I imagine that Meyer could get them out of the pit they are currently in, but it takes a good amount of luck to win it all.

Still, they would regularly fight with Oklahoma for the BXII, as opposed to OU completely owning that conference every year. Would be great for the Big XII.

Lol...LSU dumbass...why would A&M be scared of someone we don’t play? Take away the years the Aggies were fighting this country’s wars ...the Texas draft dodgers are barely better than the Aggies. Every big win streak Dildo U had against the Aggies was during a war. Since the end of the Vietnam war, in 1975..the record is almost even.

Lo fricking L, did you just make this up? I'm a third party observer to the Texas vs ATM rivalry but the numbers are clear and don't have anything to do with wars

Just like an Aggie to throw crap on a wall and hope people believe it.

In the modern times, the record is virtually even after scholarship restrictions - but don't let facts get in your way of trolling

Blah, Blah, Blah your not as close as you think and Meyer would be a great hire if Texas could pull it off.

Texas vs ATM in stuff that matters

Highlights:

Texas win % .704 7th of 131
ATM win % .604 25th of 131

Texas Nat Champs- 4
ATM- 3 (I think in the 1920's must not of been a war going on then, lol)

Texas Conf Champs- 30
ATM Conf Champs- 18

Texas all time wins - 921
ATM all time wins- 755

Texas All Americans- 60
ATM All Americans- 30

Texas draft picks- 347
ATM draft picks- 291

Texas first round draft picks- 45
ATM first round draft picks- 35

Tell me again how Texas is only a better program because the Aggies (admirably to say the least) participate in our nations wars.

Texas is historically a better program - that is a fact. It just isn't as lopsided as you would believe. And though all Texans are somewhat arrogant, the boosters in Austin are at a level that most cannot understand

Texas fans think they should be the best in EVERYTHING, because that is their God-given right. Anyone who spends an appreciable amount of time in Austin will tell you as much

Nonsense, they pay you 6 million a year and all you have to do is win 6.5 games per year

The right man at the right time! Texas would go on a tear through the BIG12 and be in the playoffs on a yearly or near-yearly basis!
