I don't think you will be passed for losing. Only a team that gets a spot by winning their championship game will knock you out most likely. The same if you were idle. An exception might be the Auburn Bama situation in 2017 where Bama had one less loss before Auburn played in the SECCG.

So there is a button on there to go back and change previously played games.. If you change the winner of the LSU vs South Carolina game..

if Auburn beats Texas A&M
The winner of Texas vs Texas A&M would play..
South Carolina

If A&M beats Auburn
Vandy would need to beat Tennessee
The winner of Texas vs Texas A&M would play..
South Carolina

Just interesting how 1 game several weeks ago could make such a big difference..

Where does SC at 8-2 rank right now? They would still need to beat Clemson to make the playoffs most likely.

to win the natty we'd have to play 3 really good, top ~5ish ranked teams to end the season in the quarters/semis/title. That much is assured and unchanged. So before we get to that point, we can either play
Personally, I’d rather have a “hard” game at the outset if it means competing for the SECCG trophy.

To me, the playoffs are too inclusive and manufactured to be more desirable than an SEC championship. YMMV

UGA has the luxury of a home crowd in the SECCG given the Atlanta location. Would love the revenge oppt’y on Bama or the novelty of playing A&M to boot.

Buddy- we would quite *literally* have a home crowd in Sanford Stadium in the alternative option lol

what have you seen from us lately that makes you think we can beat them? We've tried a couple differnet things to stop milroe and haven't succeeded yet, at this point I'd probably rather not face them with our season potentially on the line.

Is the calculator broken?

If you give Mizz 2 losses it put UGA in instead of Bama?

Found the official rules - LINK

Maybe chicken can copy and paste them in the OP.

Looks like it’s different than I’ve ever seen it. Instead of tied teams being eliminated and then starting the tiebreaking rules again until a winner, they go until 1 winner is determined. Calculator appears to be right.

Bama plays OU in Norman. They honestly haven't had a team of Bama's caliber in Norman for a long long time. They are going to show up for this game. Also, their coach is kinda on a hot seat and is playing for his job whether it's being openly talked about or not. And if they win, they secure a bowl game. This is likely not going to be an easy game for Bama. It is FAR from a sure win.

Then Bama plays the Iron Bowl... I mean, there really isn't anything that needs to be explained about why that isn't a sure win.

Bama does not have a cake walk the next 2 weeks.

Still confused, why doesn’t #1 rule give Bama the nod over UGA (regardless of other tie breakers?)

AU has no QB and the Oklahoma kid is young.

Bama will cover these two games with ease.

Nothing about the IB is easy in most years. And, this year, no SEC team can be taken for granted.

If Auburn beats Texas A&M and TAMU beats Texas, Bama and UGA take #1 and #2 and the melt would be tremendous.

Never easy but with a few exceptions the better team usually wins.
