1) Bama
2) Auburn
3) It could vary. In the southern region of the state, I could make an argument for the Saints over the Braves. There are plenty of people down here who don't give a frick about baseball. Don't get me wrong though, I cheered for the Braves until I lost interest in baseball.

You have the Rams way too low on this list. Just check the traffic on the STL PD forums. They are without a doubt ahead of the Blues.

umm...no, maybe in East TN.
I've lived in East, Middle, and West and to me it is...
1 Titans (Peyton isn't a Colt anymore...plus middle and west beat east).
2 Vols
3 tigers bball (u of m kills west tn)
4 vandy (footbal +basketball + baseball combined beat one sport)
5 grizz
6 preds
7 braves
8 cards
9 reds

I will also note that while ut and the titans might have the highest average attendance in the state....third place is Vandy football.

When I moved to Texas years ago, a local news station did a poll asking what viewers favorite type of football was. The results were something like this -
NFL - 75%
High School - 20%
College - 5%
They would show local programming sometimes on Saturdays and cut over to the college football broadcast mid 2nd quarter. Would drive me nuts. There aren't many T shirt college fans here (Beaumont), except for the LSU fans. I see more LSU stuff than A&M almost.

1.The Titans are an expansion team in a state that was already full of fans from other NFL teams prior to them arriving. Tennessee residents didn't drop their affiliations to the teams they grew up with because the Titans came in in the late 90s. Outside of Nashville the Titans influence is very hit or miss with a big number of Nashville residents who still don't root for the Titants.
2. The Vols have the biggest fan base in the state and have for a 100 years. From the biggest cities to the smallest podunk towns from Johnson City to Memphis there are literally millions of Vols.
3. Tigers Basketball? Probably ahead of Vandy and behind the MLB teams & the Grizz
4. This is the most laughable of all. How can a team whose own city/metro area has less then 10% of the fans be at number 4? The Nashville metro area is more like 60% UT 20% other 10% Vandy.
You could drive for a week straight in and around the Nashville metro area and not see one Vandy Decal or some form of sporting apparel
5. Grizz, Braves, & Preds all go ahead of Vanderbilt as all have a large following across the entire state. You guys can't even sell out your own stadium with in the city your university is a part of without thousands of away fans, not to mention Vanderbilt has zero influence/pull outside of Nashville

The Dallas Morning News always felt this way coverage wise growing up, and The Ticket is almost 100% Cowboys.

It is getting a lot better. You have a lot more people GOING to college now than you did 20 years ago, and the rivalries are intense. I will say this, one of the things about being a Texan, is a the culture surrounding high school football. It is was bonds small towns all across the state.

Bell yeah a Grizz thread.
Tbird, this is another year of the spurs getting older and gayer. They'll be lucky to get an 8 seed while Magic Mike Miller is douching 3 bombs all in Pop's face hole.

Not true at all.
Among Mississippians who live in the State, Mississippi State is the most popular university. It has the most in state students and more in state kids on their athletic teams. FACT

You don't have to take offense to everything everybody says.

I hope you realize that West Tn. pulls for the Cards and a significant amount on Mid Ten pulls for the Reds. As bad as our 40k stadium is, it still puts us 3rd in the state. The grizz can't fill 25k without 5 dollar tickets and the preds can't fill 16k regularly without 5 dollar tickets. Vandy football, for all it's warts, has filled an average of over 40k for decades.

When you stadium holds more then the other venues, physics would dictate that should happen. Unless you're at a Brazilian soccer match
Attendance doesn't equal which teams are more popular in the state when the other venues aren't in said state. I would put my house on it that just the number of Braves fans in TN could still go to Atlanta and sell out Turner field
