re: Difinitive List of the BEST SEC Schools for WR's (past decade)

(SIDE NOTE) Schools with the WORST ratio of 4* or 5* commits divided by WR's drafted into the NFL.
Miss St - 4 - 4* or 5* WR's. 0 were drafted. 0% Bama - 16 4* or 5* WR's, 2 were Drafted. 12.5% Ole Miss - 11 4* or 5* WR's. 2 were Drafted. 18.2% Tenn - 15 4* or 5* WR's. 4 were Drafted. 26.6%
Well, if you are using an efficiency standard, Vandy wins hands down.
1- 4* recruit, 2 drafted...
4-1st team SEC (tied first),
1 AP All American (behind only Bama)
That is the problem with that analysis. I agree that recruit stars shouldn't matter. The only thing that matters for "____ position U" is draft picks. Really, that should be the only criteria, but they should weight the picks based on round taken.

Congrats UK. Not surprisingly, I'm not generally a fan. However, this team has been fun to watch in the tourney.

Wow, I've been waiting for this match up since the time I would have enjoyed the sophomoric humor. It took a bit too long to remain funny. However, being a women's game definitely adds an unexpected wrinkle to the jokes.
re: Worst football player you've seen that started every game of the season?

larry simth, though Adamns sat him some. He had great talent, very Little line support and a great-cannon with little accuracy. Because of the scheme he generally ran straight into the d line. He never had Nicholsin's elusiveness for that. Much faster in the straight away though. Not too bad for our history, until you look at the bowl games before and after him and compare to his 2 wins seasons. Still, solid leader and we wish him the best.

I almost hope they get in and get to the Sweet 16, just to see how Knoxville deals with the Cuonzo/Pearl situation. I have a strange feeling the town would still meltdown.
Note, I did say 'almost.' They are still UT.

In other news, Sherman only burned Atlanta as a part of a trail of ashes he decided to leave after he got his arse kicked and lost half his men at Kennesaw Mountain, while confederate forces played the same song right back at him. It really pissed him off, so that's when he decided he'd start burning everything down from that point forward. True story.
Part of it might be true, but not all of it. Sherman had decided that destroying the populace was the only way to win the war before he was ever deployed to Georgia. He burned a swathe of Mississippi before he even entered Georgia.

Also, Sherman was a POS war criminal.[/quote]
Yes, he was a war criminal against the people of your state (among others). And John Brown's body was created by the Massachusetts infantry mustering to fight the South in 1861.
Yet a half a century later you pick the song that had become synonymous with his cause and which justified his actions. I'm not weighing in on the politics, just noting that it is damn weird Georgia chose that particular song. Especially during that era in history. It is like Poland picking Deutchland Uberalis.

I always wondered why a state that was burned down by Sherman would choose the Battle Hymn of the Republic. Odd.

Kick UK & Vandy to the Big 10 and lets get a few southern teams.
Lol, says the team from FLORIDA. You know what they say, when you go that far south you head back north.
Sounds like you just want to remove the schools that make you feel inferior in hoops and academics.

Florida just finished a very tough stretch with 4 of 5 road games at incredibly tough venues and theyve been missing their back up pg, a key player for this team, for three games and they havent lost. Thats toughness. SEC champs.
Do you really want to talk about being short handed for the game?
Regardless, good game and good luck for the rest of the season and the tourneys

That's not a fair question considering how few times yall have likely played with them only 22 years in the SEC. To be fair, you should pick on Vandy. They are historically the worst in SEC, and they have been around since the beginning.
No offense, but I don't think Auburn wants their history with Vandy to enter this thread.

Personally, I love the Wake game. That being said, I don't know a single Vandy fan that wouldn't drop them in a heartbeat for Duke.

Arky or the Vols.
No way it's the Vols, not any more. In fairness, if you want to talk about the Eastern third of the state, I think the levels of obsession match/surpass any other fanbase.
But it recedes considerably as you go West. Plus there are three pro franchises and three other FBS teams in the state. TN is also full of northern transplants now that pull for their native B1G teams.
I'd vote Arky, with Bama and UK right behind.

Sans one or two, I'll usually root for SEC teams in the tournament. It applies to all if they're playing Louisville.
Like Belle, I pull for all SEC teams sans one or two. I'm guessing one of the two might be the same. The other one is definitely different.
