Here are the top paid coaches. Who is most over/under paid?

1. Mike Krzyzewski Duke $9,682,032
2. Nick Saban Alabama $7,160,187
3. Rick Pitino Louisville $5,758,338
4. Mark Dantonio Michigan St.$5,636,145
5. John Calipari Kentucky $5,511,381
6. Bob Stoops Oklahoma $5,058,333
7. Kevin Sumlin Texas A&M $5,006,000
8. Charlie Strong Texas $5,000,270
9. Bill Self Kansas $4,960,763
10. Urban Meyer Ohio St. $4,536,640
16. Billy Donovan Florida $3,905,964

My vote is for Pitino since he relies on a system and is the worst in-game coach on the list. Charlie Strong hasn't done anything either to make so much money. Also Donovan is overrated, especially his scouting/recruiting.

You're out of your mind. Coach K should be able to write his own damn checks. The dude is coaching the best team in the world...as a side hustle.

Damn, when did Mark Dantonio jump that high? So much for doing more with less.

Could this not be said for Calipari too? I watched him coach in Memphis for years, besides recruiting he doesn't really do much more than roll the ball out on the court and let his talent play

Yeah, a Kentucky fan complaining about someone just being good at recruiting is kind of funny.

Cal's the best coach at player development Kentucky has had since Rupp. With the exception of the 2012-2013 knuckleheads, all of his players are much better at the end of their season than the beginning. A lot of coaches can't say this. He also manages games very well, although the sports commentators never give him credit. With Pitino, if you solve the press and rebound, he is toast.

Yeah, because just "letting his talent play" really worked out for Ben Howland at UCLA.

He's not the best X's and O's guy, but the "he just rolls the balls out" argument is so, so played out.

ETA: And Pitino isn't overpaid either. He won UofL their third championship.
