It's UGA, but it seems like the dislike isn't as bad as it was when I was in college. I despised the Dawgs growing up, but I don’t have too much animus towards them right now. Maybe if we were better it would be different.

Auburn hates UGA more than Bama. A majority of their fans were rooting for Bama during the recent SEC/national title games between Georgia and Bama.
Not saying it’s always been that way, but there’s no doubt who they’d rather see win when Georgia plays Alabama

I definitely do. If you wanted to go look at their game threads from those days you could prove it to yourself.
The whole backup school thing is true. If you grew up in Gwinnett you’ll never hate Bama the way you do the Dawgs. I get it.

I only hate UGA because they are so successful....but yet we can still neat them here and there, and they don't win natties!!!

Auburn is probably the right call across the fanbase, but I hate Tennessee more.

I always see people who post this, but this, at least in my experience, is definitely not true. Maybe it's just the Auburn friends and family I have, but all the Auburn fans I know were actively rooting for UGA to beat Alabama in 2017.
I have no doubt that somewhere some Auburn fans actually wanted Alabama to beat UGA, but I think it was really just a couple of guys on here who said that and then people started rolling with the "Auburn is rooting for Alabama."

When I lived in MS I met a ton of UM fans who seemed like they would rather beat LSU and go 2-10 than lose to us and go 10-2. Lately it seems like the hate is directed more towards MSU based on social media

Obviously the internet isn’t the best gauge of real life but on here it definitely wasn’t a couple of guys. Of the Auburn fans who said they had a preference it was 80% roll tide.
I’m real life I have no clue how it broke down. I have 5 high school buddies who went to Auburn and it was 3 for bama 2 for Georgia.
My guess is most Auburn fans didn’t have a strong preference but if somebody was actively rooting a majority were for Bama. If Bama wins again it’s just one more title for a program with a bunch. But if UGA wins Auburn has no more lines to use on UGA. Once 1980 is gone there’s nothing left cause they lose to Georgia every year.

I knew an older Auburn guy who was supportive of Bama aside from the IB. It was bizarre. I'm guessing with younger fans that's a rarity
