This, and it honestly isn't even close. Only one that compares is South Carolina vs. Coppin State.

I'd say UAB beating UK was worse.

Absolutely.

The Norfolk State loss wasn't super embarrassing for me personally because 15 Lehigh beat a 2 Duke later in the day and Norfolk did play a good game. Not good by any stretch, but it wasn't like we were the only ones that shite the bed that day.

Certainly could have been worse if the Dukies hadn't lost and Ohio didn't beat Michigan in the same day. With all that going on, it was just a part of that day's lower seed story.

Certainly the worst loss for the school. Doesn't bother me as much as it should though, because I wasn't forced to relive it as much throughout the tournament had the other games not happened.

ETA: Tyus Edney bothers me more than Norfolk State.

LSU's was UAB, Cal was actually the 6th seed that game, we were the 6 against UAB, and they whipped us. There's probably others that I don't remember or can't think of at the moment.

Shaq's last team was an 11? According to this site he was god and they never lost because he dominated everyone.

Don't be mad that the pigs couldn't close either.

The fact that they went on and beat your asses was a blessing that it only took me 18 years and a registration to the SECr to discover.

UCLA was the only team in the tourney that matched up well with us, O'bannon twins.

Another team caught cheating, but they are UCLA, get to keep their title.

We really don't have one.

Our only tournament loss in which we were the higher seed was to a Florida State team who made the Elite Eight.

Well Arky was lucky to leave Austin that year. Lawerence Moten doesn't go Chris Weber, Arky loses 2nd round.

Didn't Vandy lose to Richmond after winning the SECT? Then the next year lose to Murray, after being in Finals of SECT? It seems Stallings hasn't won a game in the NCAAT in ten years.

Not quite. Vandy won the SEC tournament last year (2011/2012). The Richmond loss was the previous year (2010/2011) and Murray the year before that (2009/2010). It has actually been less than a year since Stallings last won an NCAA tournament game. They lost to Wisconsin in the 2nd round last year after beating Harvard in the 1st round. Stallings' overall tournament record is 5-7.

Stallings' really bad loss for Vandy in my opinion was the 20 point loss to Siena in the 2007/2008 tournament, a #4 - #13 matchup. The Murray & Richmond games were at least close games (last second shot in the case of Murray)

Vanderbilt lost to Billy Kennedy in the NCAA Tournament. By rule, that should automatically be the most embarrassing loss.

I still say an embarrassing loss for Kentucky was the Duke 1992 loss. Allowing a length of the court pass and heave by laettner to win was embarrassing.

Not really. Those Duke squads in the 90s were damn near destined to win and we were coming off probation (and not that pussified probation they hand out these days either). The game itself was amazing.

South Carolina as a 2 seed losing to Coppin State by double digits in 1997.
