There is a bias against the South period. Your major networks are all born and bred in B1G country with very close cousins in the PAC 10.

Being a Vol, I hate to give Bama credit, but they have made the rest of the country sick of the SEC.

True. Or we could have a repeat of 2021 and the championship game loser is still in the mix. It could happen. The CFP is a strange bunch.

I don't think they pick a one loss tOSU or Michigan over 1 loss Tennessee, Tennessee's resume is better, neither of those teams has a win as good as LSU in Baton Rouge. My guess is:

Georgia
OSU/Mich
TCU
Tennessee

EDIT: This assumes USC will lose another game, I don't think they win out. IF they do win out, they likely eek in above Tennessee.

This would not surprise me in the least bit. The wild cards in this scenario are conference championships. If USC and Clemson both manage to finish the year as conference champions with only one loss apiece (a tall order for both), there is going to be some difficulty in choosing a non-conference champion (with arguably a better resume) to be in the final four. Again, my gut feeling is an anti-SEC bias is growing.

Its just comical every year we have to hear about Ohio State possibly being the best team. They weren't even the best team in 2000 when they beat Miami. They were the best team in a very down year, 2014. Lets ask Vegas what the spread would be against UGA, Bama, and Tennessee right now.

More then a touchdown for each.

Having played both Michigan and OSU...Michigan is the more complete team.

OSU doesn't commit to running the ball enough and lives and dies with the deep passing game. Thus why they struggled against Northwestern in the 40-50MPH winds a few Saturdays ago.

However, Michigan is built to win the Big 10 with a physical running game against bigger slower defenses...when they go up against Georgia it will ALWAYS be what we saw last year in the playoffs.

They do not want a blowout rematch in the semis

You have to sleep on them, they haven't played anyone yet

In the games they have played, they look very sound but its been against all sub par teams.

The PSU win looked dominating but that is a jekyl and hyde team

I think UGA has demonstrated they are the team to beat right now but OSU has yet to play with every starter healthy and still look like one of the best teams if not the best in the country. OSU has depth and I believe they can win it all.

I'm curious to see what the committee thinks of a 1-loss USC PAC12 champion if that were to occur.

I think every team in the country can say this. To your point of looking like one of the best teams while being short of starters, we have the same issue. Hell, our deep threat WR hasn't been in for weeks and we lost perhaps our best and certainly most experienced LB a couple weeks ago for the season.

Everyone outside the SEC is slobbering for USC to be back in the spotlight. If they win out they WILL get the nod over Tenn. I was kinda hoping it would be Oregon so that Tenn might have made a case to slide in over or just under Oregon at #4. Don't forget this is Riley's first year at USC as well and the media want to prove that their praise of Riley was warranted over Kelly.

While UGA may or may not be the best team, I feel pretty confident saying they are the most complete team.

what I mean by this is that UGA isn't a team that has a single way to play and they'll try to overwhelm you with what they're good at.

UGA instead is built to take advantage of whatever weaknesses you have. They can run on you if you're not great against the run, go middle of the field if you take away outside routes, go to the outside if you take away the middle of the field, go deep if you defend the short stuff and nickel and dime you if you take away the deep ball.

Defensively they are good enough across the board to do whatever makes your team the least comfortable. The one thing UGA hadn't really done was pressure the passer... but that's what hurts UT's offense and UGA did it against them incredibly well.

UGA is incredibly versatile on both sides of the ball this season.
